So, @LFS, when will we see this? This update will probably push me to CB3. My guess is early July.
Thanks, @Lil_Stu07. Something to cogitate about.
When is this dropping???
Is it an update or an IAP, and if an IAP, what will the price be?
This will be perfect when mastering a complete album. I'm hoping the update will drop tomorrow, lol.
@LinearLineman No problem! I'm excited. Hoping we get Midi Learn in this update!
@SNystrom no clue! From watching the video, the new effects will be in the internal effects so I'm guessing they are a free update. I've seen @LFS repeatedly say that a new update is coming soon to address many user requests, so I have my fingers crossed that Cubasis will be the best DAW after this update.
👍🏻
How is cubase3 now anyways, finally stable enough for heavy use?
I held off from all the initial bug reports
@ruggedsmooth its brilliant. Only had one crash in 2 weeks & that was my own error and been using the app a lot. Steinberg have got complaints about Cubasis3 should be a free upgrade from Cb2. I disagree. Its way more complete now & easy to use. Worth the money for sure.
Good to hear.
I purchased it, but have been waiting for some stability before committing to serious work.
On a thread the other day, @LFS said no new IAPs so here’s hoping.
Excellent!
Did he just say Cubasis for Android
Been waiting for wwdc June 22 to upgrade to cb3. Just in case Apple releases logic for iPad 😂
If it indeed drops for Android lets just hope people actually BUY the app rather just hunt down the first cracked copy.
Almost none of the Android users I know actually pay for the apps they use. It's k'ed stuff all the way.
So I'd say it'll take less than a week after release and a k'ed copy will be pretty easy to find...
Other feedbacks on actual CB3 stability?
Not bad. I bought it in the recent(ish) sale and have been too busy with other stuff to dive in really deep but in the 15-20 hours I have spent with it, it's been pretty good.
A couple of crashes here and there and it really got bad tempered when I was pushing the CPU on my 2018 standard iPad. It was randomly losing saves both AUs and built in stuff but as soon as I froze a few tracks it behaved impeccably.
Looking forward to seeing what the update brings....
Can’t wait to try this, it looks great.
I’ll be an actual paying customer. Maybe especially because I used to be a crack(s) addict.
Stability wise I’m having a nice time in Cubasis, though I freeze frequently partly because workflow, and partly because it’s the best freezer I’ve found among the iOS DAWs. In fact I think in my iOS workflow I started to enjoy freezing (and making chops etc) because it was so easy to do in Cubasis, and then I found It wasn’t as easy elsewhere
I've produced a handful of tracks in cubasis using mostly audio units and have had little issue. An occasional crash when I've been just messing around, but yet to experience any when I've been actually producing. Hoping they push it more towards Cubase/Ableton standards in terms of features and functionality. For me Cubasis has the best workflow of any of the DAWS that I have on ios. Just hoping they add some features that make BM3 stand out such as midi cc exposure, a better sampler, and better IAA midi functionality.
I am having this issue with CB2, but wonder if any have encountered this in CB3. I make a track with third party apps and it plays perfectly in play mode. However, in mixdown the individual tracks do not line up and parts become staggered. I have learned to fix this with time stretch, but it is not a very good solution. Maybe CB3 is better?
I had actually experienced the exact opposite. When loading down on mastering effects, things would be out of sync in play mode but would export flawlessly. There are a few presets in Pro-Q3 and Pro-MB that would make certain tracks lag way behind. This is also the case in AUM though. But they seem to mixdown well.
I had this issue once. I deleted the mixdown and reran it successfully. It’s most likely just related to resourcing at the time of the mixdown. Kill background audio as a first step.
FWIW, i was experiencing tons of crashes in Cubasis 3 last night when routing audio to it via AB and AUM or just sending Midi to it via AB.
I had Drambo sequencing things and was hoping to leverage the Mastering tools in Cubasis3. It worked for the most part but became very unstable and crashed a lot as i was adding effects in Cubasis.
Hopefully the next release includes stability and bug fixes cause I’d love to be able to use it with AB or AB+AUM.
i really want to like cb3, but after a few crashes MID RECORDING put me off,
you know, you got the flow and vocals going etc, bam , crash..
ipad almost through the window
Thanks @DukeWonder wonder. Kill background audio where? In the apps? I did amid with all the tracks frozen. Every track was longer than the midi it came from... except the initial audio track recorded thru AB3 from Korg Module. I stretched the akorg track to the same length as the others then compressed all to the original length. That worked.
I tried it again for making a track a couple weeks ago and right away hit a bug that required a restart. I selected a bunch of midi notes, deleted them, hit undo and then was unable to close the midi window, select or edit / move any other midi notes and had to close and restart the app. This happened less than two minutes into my ‘return to Cubasis session’ so I felt completely uninterested in using it to make music.
I do use it for storing/organizing/The notepad/mastering my NS2 and BM3 tracks though and it has been worth it for that.
Great, I would like to have an AU version of this. But I will for sure acquire it for CB3
@Lil_Stu07 Out of curiosity, did you find any other 'unlisted' videos of the 3.1 update?
Lol. No. Trust me, I searched 🤣🤣🤣
@cuscolima AU version of what?
Of the mastering effects.
