Djay Pro isolates vocals, drums etc!!! so cool.

Im wondering if there are any other iOS apps that do this. I dont really have a need for the dj app, but would love this feature to mangle loops/ recordings.

First they need make Tidal not suck. With Spotify you could see bpm and key without loading the track. Tidal not so much and since you can’t prep entire playlists you have to load one track at a time. The joy of djing with a streaming service is mixing non stop with tracks you’ve never heard or prepped ahead of time. Oh and add a resonance knob for the filter and dry/wet for the effects.

  • I don’t think Tim6502 was trying to convince us to buy the “Djay Pro” app and start isolating stuff,
but rather draw our attention to the app “Let’s Unmix”. Here’s the link to the Appstore:

    Thanks for the clarification @Silvertip

Tried Let’s Unmix on an old instrumental of mine and it did a pretty good job of isolating the drums from the rest of the track and vice versa. Warrants further investigation!

  • Works best on drums and vocals - not so much on bass (which comes out rather low and "thin") - and then the leftover is lumped together. They have additional apps to isolate drums and vocals only, though "Let's Unmix" covers them all.

I just cancelled my subscription few weeks ago cos no djing due to lockdown. Might re sub but apparently the A.I needs A12XZ chip/ipad. This sounds lot better than LetsUnmix & real time is cool as

  • Yes, "Let's Unmix" is offline only, and it would not be a mastering effect - the voices tend to have artifacts left.
But I thought it brought fun commensurate with its price. It does do unmixing of vocals and drums, making it easier to follow individual parts, or allowing creation of an impromptu karaoke track...
