New compressor coming from Toneboosters
Just saw this post on Facebook don’t know the official release date though

Fkn a
hell yes
I wonder when we’ll see a ‘complete’ dynamics processor with with expansion and compresion both downwards and upwards wih ‘knobs’ to smoothly transisitoning from expansion to compression on both upper and lower (gate/limiter) parts of the scale and when the signal has passed thru the gate no matter how much gain is added after the gate it won’t creep back up again...
Compare this to the ‘Curve Tool’ when adjusting images.
(Ie. when the ‘shadows’ have been squashed no amount of added exposure will bring up the noise, just a smooth solid ‘wall’, ie. multiplying something with zero will keep it zero).
One curve for levels, one curve for frequency content etc. etc.
Naturally with multiple points per curve...
Anyways looking forward to this one as well
This is what I wanted when I bought Barricade. Looks pretty, freakin, cool. Cop that FabFilter?
Oh hell yeah! Grabbing that as soon as it's released.
I shall buy this.
Lets hope it doesn't have the dial issues that dual VCF has and has been ignored, the update to that is extremely bad in comparison to TBs usual quality.
I don't get it. I thought Barricade was TB's ultimate compressor and limiter all-in-one. At least, that's how it's been for ages in their desktop range.
Can anyone point me to what this does that is dramatically different to Barricade (apart from the visual makeover and sidechaining)?
I hope they add the option to all their apps set the default color theme that is used when the app/plug-in loads.
As it is now the first thing I do is to change the color theme so I can actually see wha's going on...
(For me the UIs of their iPhone 8 apps are practically unusable due to the usage of microscopic fonts and controls)
Yes.
There’s also the help text that pops up UNDER your finger.
Among other things, maybe the UIs work well when using an Apple Pencil or something...
(Which as far as I know is not available for iPhones yet. Maybe Apple will drop 'Apple Note' and include a pen LOL)
We'll have to wait and see how this one works out
(I have no TB apps left installed on my iPhone, usability matters a LOT!).
No, they always had a track compressor too, this is the update to that, when Barricade got updated it brought along the track compressor with it, i suspect this will be a huge overhaul of that in standalone.
And just when I thought I wouldn't buy any more apps, this happens...
I can't wait to give this a go! A good side-chain compressor with side chain EQ etc is still missing from my app repertoire!
Did anyone see an ETA for when this would become available?
That's what I'm missing as well. Back to custom modular FX
Would you still use other tb apps if you bought this?
Barricade as a transparent limiter.
Tb compressor for sidechaining.
Maybe enhancer if you can dial it and like it.
Havent got to mastering stage and dont like having spare apps.
Bought equaliser also.
Yeah, hopefully the Apple AUv3's will get an UI on iPadOS14.
The Apple AUDynamicsProcessor is something I miss, it's very good for cleaning up audio (ie. reduce everything below a certain level to infinity (ie. adding gain won't bring them back up again) add compression and lift it up to a good level.
I've created a few base presets for TwistedWave 'by numbers'(Ie. I copy the number settings from macOS) so I can quickly process audio when needed. GarageBand can also use these Apple AUv3's....
Also I'm pretty fond of the MeldaProductions MDynamics (using the free versions on my MacMini).

Add what you need, in the order you need it and use curves to do adjustments to the points you add.
It's like the FabFilter thing but you can add expander, compressed, limiter and gate-points that work on specific ranges.
We'll have to wait and see what this new TB offering brings to the table
Can this also do separate mid/side compression each with their own filtered external side chains like NYCompressor ?
I just hipe next plugin from Toneboostees will be alternative to FabFilter Saturn
)
I would say it is unlikely, he still has a big back catalogue to port up to the new generation, a lot of his desktop customers are waiting for those.
Morphit just got updated! With a whole bunch of new headphones
_- New headphone profiles: Status CB1, OB1; Sennheiser IE6, IE40Pro; Beyerdynamic T1 gen2; Fostex TH600, TH610, TH900; Bose QC 20, 25, 35 in passive mode; Bose QC35 mk2; Sennheiser HD580; Creative Aurvana; Creative Aurvana Gold; AKG N700NC, 1More Quad Driver, Razer Nari Ultimate, Razer Kraken X, Razer Kraken Pro v2, Skullcandy Venue, TIN Audio T2, T3; Audeze LCD1 (mk2; 2019)
Oh nice, I didn't know the "numbers are compatible" 😃
They're great! They do first class plugins but I'm sure people rate a plugin by its appearance too so that might be a reason why they're not mentioned more often.
all the Toneboosters just got enhancements and updates, some , like the dual VCF have a lot of excellent new stuff going on...
how are the updates for stability, anybody had any problems? i’m a cautious cathy.
I wish DualVCF could replace AD Filterstation by adding a simple VCA mode.
In Passthrough mode, the filter frequency could easily adjust the signal level for example.
The handle is already there but it doesn't do anything.
real bad juddery dials in NS2, which I think is a known NS2 issue with a few plugins, but the new Notches are serious bass tools, especially the invisible Notch, that thing is sweet.
Looks like they have updated their website showing this as available for ios. Not in my app store yet though. Be on the lookout!
