great not AU, but great controls and lots of signal flexibility. Lots of adjustable curves and sliders to dial in up to 4 profiles which then can be cross faded between.
ReAmp
Great presets to start with on top of lots of knob shaping
+1 for apesoft stuff
@CracklePot that amp one freebie looks really nice.. Gonna start there a s the price is right haha
Got it, it's very ampy ! A solid #effects
Just watched a small video on this one, can't believe I've never heard of it, or had it suggested to me in the app store before.... Looks pretty cool for a kinda multi effect..... Might have to grab it at some point
I thought of another super inexpensive but good one one. Sez guitar but works for lots of stuff. I think it costs like $0.99.
Fat Lady - Guitar Distortion by Aleksandar Mlazev
You guys are making re amp to tempting haha
I also want kleverb but can't do 40$ in app purchases rn
If you only had one....what would it be between re amp or proverb??
Would you say dadelus is the best first pick outta these ones !!!! Very interesting that a delay could be so good at saturating!
I'm not good with limiters and compressors so I don't know if I should go that route...
I regret missing the intro sale!!!
Ha I like it, basically re amp can make it sound great but if not it's probably my fault lol that's how I feel about most apps 🤣
Deff interested in this nycomp cuz I do feel I kill all the good stuff in my sound when I add compression, but then again I'm no good at compression hahaha so maybe this one could help me be less destructive ?
@reasOne I'd say that apeSoft (Amazing Noises) Limiter is the pick as it pretty much does its job invisibly in most cases. It's not like working with a complex compressor.
And even if you want to slam it hard to create wilder tones it's still very simple to use. It has very few parameters to manage and is hard to make sound bad.
I use it mostly to bring presence to the source signal and tame errant peaks and with that in mind, the main controls that you need to worry about are the Saturation level and colour. The Saturation colour is particularly intuitive as it's like an overall tone control (great for smoothly rolling of any harshness in the highs).
If there's one guiding rule with Limiter, it's that less is more in most cases. Personally, I think it's at it's best when it's just kissing the signal rather than slamming it.
What are you using to record your music? Cubasis has a saturation effect in the channel strip. It’s not bad for fattening stuff up. I wouldn’t suggest dropping $50 just for the channel strip but I think the Daw itself is worth it.
Great tips so far. Love Reamp. Going to try out the Limiter saturator. For EQs with a bit of colour try GoToEQ (Pultec) and DDMF 6144 (Neve)
@reasOne I feel ya. I have Kleverb and use it often, but I think I like the AD ADverb2 (with long and dark preset) even more. Let’s wait for Easter, maybe klvgr will have a sale then. From time to time they put some plugs into sales outside of any festivities or so. I got Brusfri for a tenner. Anyways, reAmp we missed... will we be waiting patiently?
BTW, I love the GUI design of reamp. Its a new approach somehow. Flat design combined with some skeuomorphic elements?! with these colors.... I cant explain why, but I really like that.
I wish Kazrog True-iron would come to AUv3
I keep on meaning to check the VST out, heard very good things.
I agree, run aum saturator gain staged thru speaker impulses ( I use MiRack ir loader ) And it sounds wonderful ;-)
I never really used AUM internal tools because I thought they were "too simple to be good". This is probably a mistake because the pedigree...and the footprint...make them more than valuable
@espiegel123, thanks for the link... only took me a year plus to read it! And I thought hysteresis and bias were components of the civil rights unrest. Silly me!
