She sure does rob your wallet when you ain't looking!
The IAPs are currently on sale; I just got Sonik Synth for US$10 and really like the classic synth instruments -- probably the closest I'll ever get to a real Jupiter 8.
Yeah I really like SampleTank and have all the IAPs except for the drum one. I tend to switch off the effects usually and use AB with effects. It's been a cost over time and takes a chunk of space, but the sounds are very good through my monitor speakers. Well worth the money I've spent on it!
@Fruitbat1919 - If you haven't already, give the "Natural Kit" drums a listen ... very tight!
Don't underestimate gadget if you like programming drums. Tokyo,London, abudhabi,Bilbao.
Crank up the pattern resolution, switch to triplet mode and add gadgets as needed. Add automation for variation and then export song loop, open loop in egoist or sektor and slice and rearrange etc. really great for electronic drums. YMMV
@MirEko - Absolutely not, sir! I'm using Gadget as the primary instrumentation - including drums via London, Bilbao and the occasional Amsterdam - for my Sci-Fi concept album. Absolutely my favorite method for sequencing drums to date on iOS, and I highly recommend it myself
No, the purpose of this post is to delve into some really quick solutions for shooting out ditties and jingles and the like ... no point investing serious programming time into the lighter side of my musical endeavors if it can be avoided. So this thread is geared more to the "down and dirty" side of drumming across various genres ...
Aha no worries
I'm grooving to the Tech House4 kit at the moment.
Yeah Gadget is great, but I don't find it quick and dirty, because it's so addictive. I started making a kind of dub kit with all the Gadget Drum gadgets and I'm still tinkering with it! Gadget makes me lose hours and I often end up in a totally different direction than I started...love it!
Another app that exports quick & dirty drum loops is iKaossilator.
Another good drum loop warping app is Sequential.
Different Drummer will export audio or midi drum loops.
Thanks for the recommendations, off to investigate them further ...
