UCA222 No Longer Working With Latest iOS

Drives me crazy. Was a nice little headphone amp, coming out of the lightning to USB. Now I can't get any sound out of it at all, with any app. Anyone run into any problems with sound coming out of the lightning port with the latest version of iOS?

  • :o I was about to buy one to do the drum trigger in impaktor thing.. Thanks for the warning

  • Be interested to see if anyone else has the same problem.

  • @rickwaugh
Have it running ok here (iphone 5 and ipad mini 2 w/ 8.4.1), but from early days on the audio outs (Cinch) were dysfunctional ... I'm using the optical out + headphone in a parallel mixing setup.

  • I have the UCA-202 and it works fine with all of my current iOS-Devices (iPhone 5, 1st Gen iPad Mini, iPad Air 2). All running iOS8.4.1 (and iOS9 as soon as it's out of beta).

  • @rickwaugh doesn't actually state what he means by 'latest' iOS (8.4.1 or 9beta) ;)

  • Sounds like could be the beta unless something went wrong with the update, definitely works here with 8.4.1, 0 issues since i bought it.

  • 8.4.1. Well, maybe something else has happened. I did a hard reboot. Not sure what else to try.

  • Have you confirmed that your UCA222 is working, via a PC/Mac? It may not be your iPad that's at fault.

That's a good point, try and eliminate all other possible causes.

  • Good point, though I don't have a working pic right now.

  • And... it now works. Very weird. Plugged it in the other day, and it's fine. So, I'm either a complete putz, or something mysterious happened, but either way, it's all good.
