Reaktor 6
Even though this is a iOS mobile app forum, I still feel that Reaktor 6 must be made aware in iOS community. Reaktor 6 can be used to prototype instruments for iOS platform? The oscillators in Reaktor 6 sounds so brutal, I have never heard anything like that.

Yeah it looks pretty nice. Hopefully they have made it much easier/quicker to patch your own sounds together. Tempted because I have 5 and it is only £89 to upgrade. Funny how I don't see that as an acceptable price for iOS apps though..
I am soo tempted.. I have reaktor5 also. And yes the blocks are much easier to patch together. This is like an instant pass to having an entire box of eurorack modules in your room. Sounds fantastic
@MirEko @Jocphone - Yes, since I own Reaktor 5, I got the upgrade for 99 bucks and oh man those blocks, they sound like nothing else. Modular monster. App devs can use this to make instruments on the fly and then 'port' it to iOS.
If only there was the option to export as iOS app, or even a Reaktor player for iOS.
The new price is very attractive when compared to competitors' like Max/Msp and especially M4L
And the new sequencers XD awesome
Of course you can't do that but app devs can come up with ideas and instrument designs on the fly and use those ideas to code in iOS.
I've used Reaktor a lot in recentl years, but i can't say I'm overly tempted with this new incarnation. To me, £89 is a fair whack for an upgrade and I don't see any new stuff in the library (I could be wrong there).
Does anyone know if sample management has been improved? last time I used it I had to make sample maps and it was very haphazard..
I really hope they've improved this in 6!
Yep, would be real nice...
Currently, Pure Data is the only option. You can test your PD patches on iOS with Mobmuplat and then embed them into your app using libPD.
