Drum Perfect
Just seen that Drum Perfect has dropped to £2.99 and I don't have it yet...hmmm. Might be worth it even if the new one is out soon.
Comments
Lots of other things out there of course but Drum Perfect has a lot going for it.
Yeah I do have way too many beat making apps. I said I was going to limit them to 27, so they look neat and all are showing in 3 folders.....but.....
27 is barely scratching the surface. Think of Iron John man! More drumming!
Is it possible to have too many drum apps... or drums for that matter?
I deleted 20 apps recently and most of them were drum apps....so maybe it's just app fever?
Maybe not, but my 64gb iPad is screaming to let it have just a bit more space free....I will forever regret not getting the 128gb
DrumPerfect is a steal at this price. The kits sound fantastic in a mix, and the probability function makes for great variations in a beat. My go to drum app (along with Patterning and Elastic Drums).
It IS one of the keepers every modern man should have etc etc.
I'm an old git though....my modern man days went with my long hair and the advent of ear hair....
DrumPerfect is worth it. It is my go to too, when I go there. Classic IOS awesomeness!
Damn I've succumbed to the pressure....added...
How often do you guys use so many apps? Isn't it better to learn a few very well then use so many not so well? I remember when I downsized my vst collection I became much more productive, and I do the same now with apps. Just wondering ..
Yeah probably a good idea, but I am weak and just can't resist. If I was recording, and not just using my iPad as a live jamming instrument, I would probably do the same.
Scorpion. Dead frog etc. It's what we do.
Drum perfect at that price - No Brainer! Tip - press BUY.

Dear DrumPerfect users,
We are proud to announce DrumPerfect Pro, v2 of the app you're all familiar with. A completely new graphic design by Gilbert Medam which gives the app a classy look. Many new advanced functions: smart-swing, extended linked sets, pattern append, jam mode, extended midi control etc. Moreover, we will offer a number of professional-grade song, pattern and kit packages in various music styles as IAP.
We will make sure to offer you, the current users of DrumPerfect, a smooth and affordable upgrade path via the app bundle model!
Release is scheduled for Q4 2015.
V1: no brainer. I don't use it that often but when I do I'm amazed. He aimed for making an app that would allow you to program realistic sounding drum kits and he totally delivered.
V2: the new design looks really great.

Ditto, the new design will go well with the new Auria design. Dark.......
The force is strong with this one. I'm liking the learning curve better than Diff Drummer so far. I think this may be my answer to keeping my beats more simple, yet have more complex neuences
Mmmh. Nice I hadn't seen v2. V1 is great but the UI was a bit iffy.
By the way... Fruitbat1919, ios 9 has 4x4 apps showing in folders, so you're going to have to buy loads more apps to make it look all neat and tidy
All that lovely jigging my apps around to look good in their folders haha....o I can't buy many more as I only have 6gb room left.....will have to wait till the spring clean or a 2nd iPad!
I watched about 20 min. of video showing DrumPerfect in action, and saw nothing to make an impression over something like Patterning.
Im good!
"....a smooth and affordable upgrade path via the app bundle model!"
Don't care about the smooth as long as it's affordable
I don't think it's just features that make a drum app, it's differences in UI and workflow that contribute to the formation of new ideas.
I do find working with different drum apps, helps me with completely differing styles and genres.
will be interesting to see which one get's a sample slicer first Drum Perfect or Patterning
Maybe a whole new app will come along to help us slice and edit samples and loops. There is defiantly a market there, but I would like to see AudioShare expand to take these areas to new heights on iOS
Hey! Color! A very welcome addition. On behalf of Marinus, I'd like to echo what most everyone here's been saying ... DrumPerfect at $3.99 is a STEAL
Ok you guys convinced me. I bought another drum app!
update: wasn't working too well on my ipad mini (although it says it should be ok on ipad2 in the appstore description). will try more tomorrow.
Well, I was going to push the Buy button, but it said Open. Guess I already have it. Tieme for a rereview then.
I love when that happens to me. I don't have the best powers of recall, so it's total happy unexpected bonus
