AudioBus Remote won't connect, even though it responds when I launch Audiobus on my host

When I launch Audiobus on my iPad, Audiobus Remote sees that it's online but gives the following message:

"To connect just hold this device and the device running Audiobus close together.

I do that and nothing happens. They're in cases, but that shouldn't matter, right?

I'm running AB 2.1.17 and 8.4.1 on both devices, iPad Air 1 (host) iphone 6 (remote). I have an up-to-date Audiobus Remote as well, but can't find the version number.

  • I know this isn't an answer, but I had trouble at first too. Then magically it just now works every time, no matter which I open first. I swear I did nothing different, so trippy. So don't count out weird lil magic things. I notice they happen in iOS a lil bit.

  • I weirdly had it work once. Anyone else have any ideas? I've so been looking forward to this feature.

I don't want to have to reset my network settings.

  • Are you using a bluetooth speaker by any chance? Btw we're preparing for an update of AB Remote.

Not in range; not turned on, and not connected. But I do have Bluetooth profiles for a speaker, a headset, and the car stereo.

But like I said, this happens when I am not anywhere near them, and they are powered off.

I take it your guess is that there is another Bluetooth signal interfering?

Since I have your attention, you guys are geniuses!
