Audiobus will be compatible with iOS 9 in a few days
For those of you who don't receive our newsletter for some reason:
Hello, friends of Audiobus,
It's that time of the year again. Here're some things you should know about Audiobus and iOS 9.
Firstly: there's an iOS 9-compatible version of Audiobus coming soon. We submitted it on Saturday, as soon as Apple permitted us to do so. We expect App Review will take about one week. So expect to see the update over the next few days.
Also, iOS 9 will now ask for permission the first time you from switch from one app to another. This is a feature intended by Apple to give users more control over what apps do.
We're going to inform you here once the new update is available so you don't have to check the App Store for it. Or... you know... sign up to our newsletter.
Cheers,
The Audiobus Team

Thanks for the heads up! Looking forward to it! :-)
Thanks, Sebastian.
iOS 9... pretty soon I'm going to have to upgrade to something better than this iPhone 5...
iOS 9 will run just fine on the iPhone 5.
I think he probably means he wants a new phone and therefor will have to have iOS9 too.
Thats good news to hear and a nice reason to buy the new air 3 when it's released in a few months.
Good news, can we expect to see some stability improvements on iOS9 ?
Hope that iOS 8.4 would be supported until 9.something . We need a stable working iOS.
I had Audiobus working for a while on iOS 9 with Nave/Korg's/Effectrix running into Cubasis, all connected seamlessly thru midi. It only lasted for a while but during that time (before all apps disappeared) the new feature of having to give permission to switch between apps was at first understandable, but quickly became an annoyance. Repeatitive prompting is really unnecessary after the first couple of switches... we got it! I think it should have the option to activate this option at the users discretion.
Yes, I agree. Or it should just not be there in the first place. What's the use of that anyways? Just what I need, an extra ok to click away ;-/
I'm hugely in favor of the permission to open another app feature. I hate it when a random website automatically sends me to the AppStore to buy Game of War or CandyCrush. No more!
Now, downside is I'll have a couple hundred permissions to approve for music apps... But something feels right in the world now.
It should be something to allow in the settings like location services and microphone access. Then you'd set it once and that's it.
How many apps do we all have?
how many combinations of yes I really want to do this does that make?
^^
Theoretically, Only about a thousand confirmations :-0
...Unless you use more than about 32 apps, then it quickly becomes much more.
32 apps are only 2 pages in a folder. ^^
I guess I don't want to hear the numbers on my music folder, lol
Uh and then it will ask you again because this could cause feedback ^^ now I remember why I turned that off.
Is this why audiobus says no apps available?
As long as we don't have to click O.K. before each midi note
But yes, i find this also a bit annoying. These are the things why i turn off my device after some minutes.
No, that is different and is supposed to be fixed with the next audiobus update
There are still a few problems with app launching on iOS 9, affected apps are Bias FX, Final Touch, and others. We’re submitting another update.
