Looks pretty interesting. Wonder what the price will be. 600 Watts. I think the price of the PG pedal board was pretty decently priced.

Looks sexy
According to the advertisements in Positive Grid's app updates, this thing is priced at $1299. I could buy a whole lot of amazing tube amp goodness with a cabinet with that chunk of change. All the other physical modelers are a lot less expensive and offer similar functionality. I'm not tempted. Are any of you?
If it works like Bias itself not really: lately as soon as I load it up in the bus in the first moment I won't be able to open it from AB and once I get it running from the outside it just stops everything was going on. Pretty much a shame. I love how you could sculpt your sound with it.
If it didn't sound good, I would have given up on Bias Amp a long time ago. Such a pain in the arse, however.
I've run Bias on my iPad through a PA. No one in the room noticed it wasn't an amp. I'm trying to figure out why I'd spend $1299 to have an amp drive the sounds instead of plugging my iPad/iPhone into a PA. I could easily run it through the cabinet I have if I wanted it mic'd. I must be missing something, but why am I spending $1299 for this amp head?
Truth.
Because you don't want to spend 1250$ for an ipad
Maybe it has more to do with those who don't use ios, or won't? Positive Grid wants to tap into that market as well?
Well then, there it is. I knew I was missing something.
Positive Grid do make a point of saying it has full integration with Bias mobile and desktop products, implying you'd be missing key functionality without an iPad or laptop/PC.
Still curious if anyone is tempted to buy this thing. I have to admit that I am curious about the new Marshall CODE, which is a LOT less expensive.

I'm with you Supanorton, I plug my ipad into a PA, or my reciever at home, and it sounds better than my westbury amp.
It is fun to see the electronic/digital music world having a huge revival of analog gear while the more traditionally analog aficionados, namely guitarists, who were all about valve heads knocking at the door of analog modeling
I can't find a price on these? They do look very nice though. That is for sure.

Marshall's got a 100 watt 2x12 version too, but that one's not on this site. 50 watt, 1x12 for $250 is very affordable. Not sure how it sounds, but Chappers and The Captain seem pretty impressed. Andertons Music UK's got the 100 watt 2x12 for £349.00.
And you save your back from lugging around ridiculously heavy amps/cabinets... I'm convinced the only ones at any gig who care about purity of tone are other guitarists and they constitute, what, like .05% of the population?
Amen, brother.
That is an interesting turn of events. There's no substitute for a good tube amp, yet. Sooner than later, the modelers will get there. It's very close now, especially in a mix. I took a blind sound test a few months ago on another forum and couldn't tell the difference between sims and the real thing on something like 90% of the samples. The samples were mostly high gain. For me, the clean to crunch were the hardest to distinguish.
