Very interesting drum machine. Installed it, got irritated with it, deleted it, but then I thought hey, wait a minute...can't be, re-downloaded and started to like it...lots of possibilities in sound shaping and midi...for 99 cents it's a lot of drums:)

  • Yep I've managed to coax some half decent beats out of this and only used it a short while. Well worth a punt.

This is another sleeper, still holds its own against even the newest synth based groove boxes, for a dollar. Has song mode, parameter automation, non promiscuous midi in etc etc. Very smart take on all kinds of things.

  • Great performance screen too, allowing you to loop sub sections of your pattern.

It also allows you to play your pad sounds chromatically.

The pads are cool, I had the app (and really dug it) for almost a year before I realized it had them and a live play option

  • Yesterday I discovered the live play option in BleepBox! and loved it... But wished it would send midi out and act as a midi sequencer. Then I realised that Genome (same developer) does exactly that and it's great.

So BleepBox! led me to Genome which has been gathering dust on my ipad for over a year and I never really got. But yesterday the live play abilities of it really hit home... That remix pad design is really cool - especially if you play with 2 index fingers.

  • Another nice feature is on "Perf" page, if I click on button "1 PART", and use Up/Down arrows, to move (long block of selected notes), it repeats only notes in highlighted field and if you touch where are no notes, it MUTES them! And lock does its job too.
Also nice transitions from pattern to pattern...

I believe you can also use a the notes on a midi keyboard (starting from the lowest octave) to control the start and end point of the remix looper thingy... Not tried that though.
