Ios9 and iPad Air V1

Sorry if this has been answered in other threads etc but was just wondering if anyone has updated from 8 and is now happily using 9?

Read elsewhere that 9 slows down Air 1 and it's quite noticable!

Thank you.

  • Ios9 is working fine for me on iPad Air 1. No noticeable change in response times.

  • Everything is working fine here:-)

    +1

  • I would say it works a bit better for me, with the apps I am using.

  • Thank you. I may give it a go.

If you use audiobus every time you open an app you'll get message asking if you want to open the app when you launch the app and when switching back to audiobus, apparently that's built in to the OS. I'm not sure what else it affects but that will slow things down albeit in a different way.

ETA overall actual app load times seem to be faster.

  • did it :)
    hated it as its sloooowwwwwer???

    went back to 8.4.1

will wait for an update 9.1 etc

In general or any apps in particular?

  • Ill stick with ios 8.4. on my air 1. Tried ios 9 on an ipad 4 and when choosing a dynamic wallpaper the ipad became so slow it was almost unusable.

  • iOS 9 is fine on my Air 1. Some small glitches but better performance overall and nothing to make me want to downgrade. FWIW
