@gjcyrus: Steve is Seattle based engineer who is a Master at all things Audio as far as I can tell. Specifically Mastering per se, but also stomp box and modular synth hardware design. Does PCB and panel layouts too. Here is his Marcard link:

He seems to have 72 hour days at his disposal. All occupied.
@dwarman - thnx for the info and link!
Something that no one has mentioned is that mastering an album also has a lot to do with matching apparent loudness from song to song. That's something this new app doesn't allow for. I did buy it and so far I think it's pretty cool. I wonder if in the future the dev might add the ability to do a whole album with a preset for each song?
Love this app! It's definitely a great mastering tool, a very responsive and good sounding one. To my hears, the harmonic saturator isn't the finest i've heard, but does the job. The last update adds a nice option to export the files directly to audioshare. Waiting now for audiobus support.

Absolutely right. Even if things are moving away from the "album" model, one needs to have more than one track at a time to reference relative loudness etc. you need to have your whole batch of tunes in front of you so you can make informed decisions and tastefully tweak the music, and where necessary create cross fades between tracks.
That's what "mastering " really is.. Premastering is what this app is selling, and for the price and what people are saying about it, it looks like it does a fine job if you are entirely iOS based.
I have a lot of gear and software other than iOS, so I'm not an "iOS exclusive" artist by any means and will stick to the real deal.
Looks like this app is about to become usable in the filter/effects slot: http://audio-mastering-studio.blogspot.com/2013/06/audio-mastering-app-as-signal-processor.html

Obviously I'm biased as I do mastering and mixing for a living, but maybe this helps people when mastering their own music:

Anybody tried this in the IAA output slot of - say- cubasis?I'm tempted now, something like this would be very helpful in cubasis. And is there a list somewhere with all available IAA fx to date?
Now has a multiband compressor.....
It definetly adds value and opens up some nice options to sculpt your sound and tweak till your heart is content...
