A good start indeed.... sadly another reason to not buy the iPad Pro since the second version will get 3D touch for sure.

I think that the aftertouch you get from external devices made just for that purpose are going to feel better and respond in a more natural way than on screen. I'm sure it will work great, but think I will/should stick with the EWI and HandSonics.
Norhing is better than tactile feedback of course. A flat scree can be very nice and versatile but then playing with a "feel" is so much more fun.
Although, I just thought about it and it could be used after tracking to create some life in a synth line.
I wish there would be a Logic remote app for iPhones.... come on apple.... now that i'm officially iPad less again

This is an awesome development! I've got the new iPhone 6S Plus as part of my phone contract. So far I'm finding 3D Touch useful. 3D aftertouch opens a whole new vision of what iOS can do.
I agree. Maybe they will announce a new 3D Touch Air however this is doubtful.We'll have to wait until next year unless Apple pull an iPad 3 and releases it in the spring.
Yeah I'm not buying another iPad until 3dtouch enabled one comes along. It's the biggest ios music related advancement yet
