Barrel (Street) Organ in iOS?
Need to create couple of melody for a media project, and I d need a Barrel (Street) Organ patch/sound in iOS....is there any app or patch available?
I have been looking around and could not find anything....if nothing is available, next stop is to put on the "Sound creation" hat...and manipulate/transpose some organ patches.

Best bet is probably to find an sf2 soundfont file.
Something like a "flutey" organ patch, possibly combined with a breathy flute sample should get you in the right area. By flutey, use mostly the white drawbars in Galileo or similar. Edit - Actually I was just playing in the Korg M1 and the Pan Flute sample in that wouldn't be a bad starting point if you have that. A lot will also depend on how you play it of course!
I've found so many different sounding Street Barrel Organs that you could go from many different approaches.
Some seem decidedly more piano like. Some very much organ like.
Don't think you will have much trouble getting the basic tone, but adding the mechanical sounds may take you a while longer.
Then it's all down to making it play like the real thing. Maybe varying the speed with tape delay in parts and changing certain notes to be slightly off.
Thanks mates....the Korg M1 Pan Flute sounds like a good start....after that I ll try to give it some "sound design" treatment, and throwing in an arpeggiator.
Once you've got the sound, the next step will be to get the monkey.
