Overly polite iOS 9..is driving me crazy...

Since I updated to iOS 9...when I open Audio Bus and load iSem, I get this annoying statement: " Arturia iSem wants to open Audiobus" ...OK sure lol...why not ?

When I add Borderlands and click on it,: Audiobus wants to open Borderlands...Then I tap on iSem and get: Borderlands wants open iSem...WTF?...why this ping pong of questions and confirmations?

Yes I WANT TO OPEN THEM, I clicked on them, but don't WANT the pop up...

Is there a way to get rid of this....in settings...someone ...please?

  • No other way atm. The requests should only happen once for each new connection.

  • I want it to say, "ARE YOU READY TO ROCK?"

Yeah, I know. It's only a small inconvenience though. I'm sure this will be revised in the future.

Yes.... in iOS 10 there will be a "sure?" as second pop up ;)

  • ... and then 'Well done !"

  • I want it to say, "Hello Cleveland!"

  • In iOS 10 they are introducing the App changing tax!

  • iOS 10 will be iOS X, isnt't? iOS X Skinny Rat

  • LOL at your replies @Cinebiet and @crzycrs:) I am afraid you are right

    So the culprit is... iOS9...

  • The thing is why would you not be sure? The irony as well is that's it's a very windows-esque thing, kinda reminds me of Clippy. :P

Thought I'd never see that damn paper clip again arrrrrgh

  • Yep sounds like windows lol

Another thing is an app appeared (in AB) called "uber synth" that I never bought and is not active anyway...just sleeps there zzz zzzz
And can't get rid of it...no big deal just strange...

  • @soundklinik I just noticed the same thing after updating. Weird. It's a real thing, but I never bought it either.

Strange you should mention that. This would explain it. :p

  • That was freaking awesome!!!

  • The Clippy therapy group not working huh?

I wonder why they add stuff like this, guess it's a touchscreen and you might hit it accidentally but not exactly ergonomic, should be able to disable it.

    Yeah brilliant! :)

  • No - it's a security mechanism related to the URL schema backend for one app opening another @musikmachine

  • That actually makes more sense.

Yep. Bit of an annoyance but a good move. Does seem like we should be able to white list an app opening requester like AudioBus though. I reckon there isn't a single app out there that comes close to audiobus in terms of how many app launch requests are generated so I we're likely a bonafide edge case here. Even App Launcher type shortcut apps probably launch fewer apps than most of us have available in Audiobus. :)

  • there should be a simple option "always allow connections from" or "always allow connections to", preferably even as checkbox in the pop-up

  • It's not Audiobus though alone - it's each app opening each other app.
