Synths that save midi CC assignments.

Hello.
I notice that my Arturia iMini still doesn't retain the memory of any midi CC assignments I make, and that is unfortunate as I'm wanting to use my iPad Air primarily as a virtual synth brain along with Arturia Keylab 61.

Is iMini an anomaly or is this just a thing with Arturia's iOS apps?

Do most iOS synths save midi CC# assignments?

Are there others I should avoid?

I also have Nave which retains the assignments well, but am looking for more great synths that will work in this way, without having to learn the hardware about which ones will not. Turns out I don't really like using the touch screen interface of an iPad for music making, I get on better with tactile controls, hence the Keylab. So using it as a synth brain seems to be the best way forward.

Thanks, in advance, for your help.

  • Yep, most of the big'uns have and/or save assignments.

  • Magellan has an awesome midi learn where you can save as many cc setups as you want for different purposes I assume. This might be unique as far as apps go though. others only save 1 setup and some limit the amount of cc's you can assign. I'm talking about you Animoog...

  • Animoog allows you to save and load multiple midi CCs I think.

  • MiMix has 4 preset slots for its CC assignments

I'll check, but I could swear it had 4 slots, or there abouts. Maybe they added new functionality and I just wasn't paying attention.

Edit: my bad. I was thinking about modulation destinations. Okay, I take it back Animoog. :)
