Multiple iPhones as Wireless Controllers for iPad?
Until now I've used Apollo Bluetooth by @SecretBaseDesign to wirelessly connect MIDI Designer on my iPhone to control my iPad Air and it has served me well. Highly recommend!!
Wife got a new phone which means I now can use her "old" iPhone 5 as well as my own iPhone 5.
Sadly, Apollo only supports a Single Connection A-to-B so I'm wonder about what kind of a solution you would try since I can't connect both of the iPhones at once this way. :sadface:
How can I get both phones talking to my iPad at the same time? I'm not worrying about clocksync (one can dream...) ??
THANKS!

You could use the Audiobus Remote on the 5. Maybe a WIST enabled app too.
You can use "network MIDI" which sends MIDI over wifi. It is built into iOS and some of the MIDI apps use it. MIDI Designer Pro implements it quite well. Most synths recognize NetworkMIDI as a midi source.
Goddamn am I an idiot for not thinking about that. Wish it sent MIDI though because I already have my MIDI Designer controller files "just so".
I was hoping to stay Bluetooth really so as to avoid crosstalk issues and having to setup my own little music sub network.
it is true, BT 4.0 works surprisingly well with Apollo and MIDI designer; more simple than than wifi.
Just hearing about this Apollo Bluetooth app now. Recently bought an iPhone 6 and thought there has to be an easy way to use it together with my IPad (not including AB triggers) and this is it! Been playing with it the last few hours and its amazing!!

Tip: midimittr, free
Nice to hear the feedback for Apollo -- I thought it was pretty handy!
Apple has their own Bluetooth MIDI running now (this is what midimittr is built on top of), so I've made my app free. Very little chance of making a buck when Apple has steamrolled out their own stuff. Yay capitalism!
I may try to hack in support for multiple connections in a future version, but it's low priority at the moment. I think the Apple MIDI over Bluetooth can handle multiple connections, but I've found it to be a bit of a pain to get configured.
As mentioned, AB Remote is another good option for bringing a second iPhone into the mix.
Apollo and midimittr :
Iphone A ... 1. Apollo + 2. midimittr + 3. Thumbjam (out) --> ipad ... 1. Apollo and Thumbjam (in)
Iphone B ... 1. midimittr 2. Thumbjam (out) --> ipad (or iphone A)
