OMG yes yes yes!!!
Blip Interactive...
"NanoStudio V1.4 (with Audiobus) has been submitted and approved by Apple. Just waiting for them to do the same with the OS X version before I can release."
Yes!!!
One of the best MIDI editors, and a very good synth included!
Virtual MIDI???
Great news , I hope we can see new stuff on it .-)
And now, the waiting game starts again (remember Alchemy...?)
I know what you mean @Martinj They could have kept that secret. Lol
Any new features....?
No word on new features.
I'm so excited.... that I just can't hide it, I know I know I know I want Nanostudio
The update will probably include Audiobus input (master mix) and output (sampling only), and Virtual MIDI (in/out). Crossing fingers for clock sync
@saveas 99.99% sure there will be no midi out. We should probably all try to remember that this release is an audiobus stopgap. Ns2 is what we're really waiting for.
Will the Ns2 cost if we already own the original?
Has the dev actually ever committed to releasing "Nanostudio 2"? All I've seen are very vague statements about an app people would rather have than have the current version updated with new features, but it seems the nanostudio forum community is trying to hint/demand that the new app he's developing will be NS2. Just curious.
Would really have liked to see midi out on the update, but after reading of the devs hatred of virtual midi, I seriously doubted it would go in.
yes, I'm pretty sure it will be a new app we'll pay for - like BM2 was.
Matt (NS developer) said in some post on the forum that he's working on NS2. When he started, he wasn't sure what it was but overtime it's become NS2, so to speak.
I'm just some dolt on that forum too often so don't believe anything I say. I've exchanged maybe 3 emails with the guy in 3 years.
I do a quick read of that forum once a month or so. I may have noticed you over there with the other diehards.

Haha, I'm not a diehard!
OK, fine, I totally am. It's the iOS music app with which I get the most completed. As such, it's the app from which I have drawn the most value. Apps can be cool or interesting or neat or whatever but getting shit done is what it's about and NS helps me do that more than any other. It's a very 'complete' app - even with all the stuff folks (including me) wish for.
Indeed, I'm diehard enough to have never even tried Beatmaker because of the asshattery with the midi editor stealing. I imagine that BM2's the only other contender for 'do it all, and do a lot, with one app' title from what I hear.
This is gonna be another biggy..I think I think I'm gonna have to reinstall nano and have a play..this is the problem with 16 GB..
.
@thesoundtestroom same here its killing me each week I have to make cuts that I don't want to but I also wonder if I chopped it doe
