Audio Units (Alchemy)?
Just read this on 9to5Mac.
http://9to5mac.com/2015/10/05/first-look-ios-9-audio-unit-plug-ins/
I noticed that Alchemy has disappeared from my purchased apps list in the App Store. Could this be the strongest indication that Apple intends to release Alchemy as an AU plug in?
Comments
Not necessarily but they probably are looking to rebrand it as an Apple product. The current one is still under "Camel Audio".
I can't see Apple launching Alchemy as an AU until they have a host to support it - most likely an updated Garageband app.
Sure, but I see no reason they can't revamp and relaunch as a standalone, w/ AU support baked in. Or at least a small update away.
Alchemy mobile was such a beautiful designed masterpiece of an ios music app...i still think it will come back,
Man, I sooooo want that to be true ...
But do you want it to come back as an app that you have to pay for again? (Playing devil's advocate) ;-)
(I get your point, and the value of playing the DA, but) Aww, Hell's No! I bought almost every single #$%#$ soundpack!
GarageBand according to 9to5Mac already has AU , but Apple has not release the update as yet. I think we going to see GarageBand and Alchemy release together.
I thought Alchemy was in the images of the article already, no?
I would. It was by far my most used app, and even at full price with all the packs the iOS version was a steal. They already included some of the UI aspects in the GB synths in the last update FWIW, though I still think we'll see it released as a standalone just rebranded.
I assumed they mean Garageband on the Mac has AU, not the IOS version yet.
The iOS version also has AU but Apple has not upload the update as yet .
To be honest, I probably would too. :-D I hope it is released as a standalone too, since Garageband is not my first choice for DAWs on the iPhone. ;-)
yep,i would.I was lucky to get a refund for Alchemy (Pro) and all soundpacks when CA vanished (i bought it just 2 months before) ;-)
