problem with Jamup pro app

I have a problem with "jamup" app in background mode. I need play my guitar with some backing track (ipod app, garage band, cubase... wherever, any music app.)

When I turn on "jamup", the music is mixed with the "jamup" fx (distorsion, delay, reverb, etc.)...so, the sound of mp3 music is very dirty.

somebody have the same problem?

(sorry, but my english is not good...I hope you understand what I wrote)

than'ks.

  • I have the same problem with any pedalboard app working in background mode. (amplitube, garage band, etc)

  • What interface are you using?

  • Irig...but I try connecting the iphone headset and I have the same problem. I hear my voice with effects and the mp3 music, youtube audio or any playback apps too

  • That's the headphone output leaking into the audio input. Only way to avoid that is to get a digital audio interface and bypass the headphone socket altogether.

  • Best price audio interface I have find so far is the Behringer UCA 222 and its also stereo, is powered by the iPad and costs around £24...

  • Digital interface is best...I have no problems at all. I use Apogee Jam and Griffin StudioConnect.

  • Thank you all for the answers...I discovered I'm not the only person who has this same problem hardware.
Apogee jam or Behringer UCA 222 are great but I have a usb midi pedalboard, therefore the 30-pin connection is already in use.

  • @fcomj you can get a cheap powered USB hub and run several USB items together.

  • @Boosty Thanks, I'll test the recommendations

  • only one audio but several MIDI USb devices. The audio can be a Class II Compliant multi-channel too if you have one.

There's a little CCK alternative on Amazon that has a built-in 3 port USB 2 hub and SD card reader, 30 pin connector, and will accept external power from any USB charger outlet or port, or 5v brick with the skinny power plug. I run it off a NewTrent 12 AH battery, runs my audio, keyboard, nanoKONTROL2, all at the same time, forever. When I need more I cascade a second little hub to it (though the multichannel 18i6 seems to prefer not being cascaded).

  • OK...I want to share my experience:

I took my old Samson usb microphone that incorporates an input line aux and I connected the USB hub with external power.

Result: Great!!!, the guitar has a sound much better with Jamup and too I have the option of use the configuration it as a microphone ("Samson G TRack" have a mic / line input).

At the same time I can change the effects with my old digitech pedal with midi output and play my small nano keys.

    thanks and regards.!!!

  • I was having the same problem. iRig thru Jam up pro thru audiobus in to Cubasis. There was heavy sound bleed. Turned out to be the new head phones I bought. When I went back to my old head phones it fixed it. Try different head phones
