  • Ha. Because of this thread I checked and just got offered Johnny and Caramel for free under 'complete my bundle'. Can't say fairer than that. I appear to have all the others although TBH the only one I use is Crystaline.

I'm pleased because I'd had my eye on Caramel.

Interesting. So when you (or someone) might use Stereo Designer what do you use?

I'll definitely use this one for my noisy stuff, probably room for a bit of Swoopster action too. I'd use them a lot more if I could record the pad movements.

Weird, the only app missing in my iPad holderness bundle is Johnny, which is €2,99. But completing my bundle would cost me €5,72. I don't get it.

it's because you must have bought the others in a sale, at least some of them, it works it out by how much money you've spent over the cost of the whole bundle, not app per app so to speak.....

it's weird though true since I 've got all the apps except Johnny and it's not giving me any complete my bundle sign at all.

  • I could spend £2.29 on a johnny. Or £8.99 and have a bundle.

Hey guys, I feel like a broken record here always having to explain Apple's app bundle pricing since they don't do it themselves, but I guess someone has to explain this bundle of confusion... pun intended.

The pricing for "Complete My Bundle" is based on the price you actually paid for the apps you own in a bundle vs. their discounted price in the bundle. This is why everyone sees different pricing for "Complete My Bundle" as it is calculated on an individual basis.

For example, if you purchased one or two of apps in a bundle on sale or free/promo code, you may see a higher "Complete My Bundle" price than expected because Apple does not discount further if the app was free or cheaper than it is currently sold for individually. This is what creates the common situation where you can buy the one or two individual apps you're missing from an app bundle cheaper than the "Complete My Bundle" price. Adding to the confusion are the persistent AppStore bugs which quite frequently don't show the correct price for your "Complete My Bundle" option, or don't show that you own the app even though you've bought it, etc. In this case you might try refreshing the AppStore, logging out and back into the AppStore, or rebooting your device to get it to show the correct price.

All of these things can occur with ALL app bundles, and unfortunately developers have no control over it. It's confusing and frustrating but the easiest thing to do is just go with whatever is cheaper for you. Compare your "Complete My Bundle" price against the individual apps you're missing, and if it's cheaper to buy the individual missing apps then just do that. Sometimes you can even complete the bundle for free. :)

  • Thanks for the explanation, thought as much. Plus thanks for the sale and including them in a bundle - I've got the full set now, and very chuffed with Stereo Designer in particular.

That's because you probably bought one or several apps in the bundle when were on sale.

Great time to round out your Holderness and Apesoft/Amazing Noises collections. Can't go wrong with any of those :)

Oh, hey, look four posts up, there's Mr. Rice himself!

I saw you mention the app a week ago in the SOTM thread, and had planned to check it out. Last night I used one of the wide presets on a load of channels in my Auria SOTM, and did a test mixdown. Definitely added more space around the mix, compared to the non Stereo Designer version. I'm guessing SD will feature in every Auria song I create from now onwards.

I don't use it on everything, but I certainly try it on everything and, even if dialled back, use it on most...

Yeah. Just adds a bit of breathing space, a welcome respite to the soup I normally create.
