TSTR Video..Pioneer RMX-1000 Demo for iPad

So I thought I should get one done, I'm surprised at how easy it is to use, just like the hardware version http://thesoundtestroom.com/pioneer-rmx-1000-demo-for-ipad/

  • I like it!...... I can see loads of fun with this app. Alternative Reggae "King Tubby" Dub, with a dollop of "Scratch" Perry me thinks.

  • Reminds me of me trying to DJ with DJay2...

I'm a bit on the fence personally. But it looks pretty solid and the tempo detection is quite nice. Just not sure if i'd use it that much.

Although as an IAA on certain tracks in Auria... maybe...

I have a few days to decide at least.

Thanks for the video Doug - amazing stuff as always!

  • No worries, and I had a car stereo that looked just like this in the 90's

Does this app do 'user-sampling' too? (According to the manual for the hardware RMX-1000 it can do up-to 16s of sampling and store it on a SD-Card).

I'm updating my iOS-Devices to iOS9.1 so i can't download it at the moment :)

  • I'm not sure it does, I don't think so

I haven't seen any evidence of this. Wish there were. Perhaps this was the part of 'replica port' they quietly whistled under the table. Shame, because it would add real value to what feels a little generic etc.
