Interesting vid. I wonder if I had the same to spend on music tech now as I used to have, would my 6 iPad plus controllers wonder synth be my baby. Imagine lots of wonderful touch space mixed with hardware knobs, sliders and loop triggers.
Let's look at the price of some boutique synths. Then the price of a few iPads all connected up to one controller, mixer and audio outs. Maybe throw in some new fangled touch keyboard. Maybe an iPad Pro controlling four iPad Airs through a mixer / controller / audio device. It's got to happen one day as its nearly possible now.
I agree. I'd even bet someone, somewhere, somehow, is already doing it. Probably two - a really clever young DJ/tech wiz in Copenhagen and Jonny Ive in an undisclosed secret underwater base where he goes to "unwind."
