Us music tech types could be described (with honour I would add), as the Geeks of the music world. But am I just assuming many here have similar geek behaviours as myself. Calls for a quick poll.

Not sure if you can do that option, but year I like your add on option. Won't let me add it now though. Only for a few laughs though. I forgot to add, I make noise to annoy the neighbours or I make music in my special room to avoid the kids lol

Eventually liking computers, technology, SciFi, fantasy (like Lord of the Rings), etc. became mainstream and people embraced the term. The movie Revenge of the Nerds was one of the first. Here's the classic scene from the movie:
