Thanks - noob question - how do I get these into Patterning? I've tried 'open in' without success, and can't find a way to import them via Patterning itself.

Update - skip that, 'open in' is working now.

  • Fantastic!!! thanks very much to Jon.

    <monzo
load it in your dropbox-from your dropbox to audioshare -via audioshare to patterning

Thanks, yeah I managed to load it direct from Dropbox - for some reason it didn't work at first so I had to click it a few times. Nice kits in there.

Guys, I'm frickin' upset right now... tried to 'open in' one of the kits directly from Dropbox and this has put Patterning in an eternal boot mode; the load page comes up, then throws me back to the iPad's start screen. If I do the 5-finger swipe to see what's going on it seems as if Patterning was up and running but when I try to bring it forward it's the same loop again; trying to load to no avail. Any suggestions before I delete and reinstall Patterning? Needless to say, that's the last thing I'd wanna do as there are several patterns and songs and those will be all gone for good. Switching off and on the device doesn't help, neither did any good the removing of the kit file from Patterning via iTunes. I have an iPad Mini 2 with iOS 8.4.1. All I wanted to do is add some kits and the whole thing is broken. I'm not happy... looks like this single kit had corrupted Patterning on my device.

Edit: emailed Olympianoise Co. and Ben replied almost instantly. He says there's an update coming later today, hopefully it will fix my problem. Fingers crossed...

Edit nr.2.: Ben sent me the beta version of the new update as it may be arriving to the appstore a little later than planned. It totally fixed the problem so my beat-making equilibrium is fully restored. Also, this is my first ever beta experience and what a rewarding one! :)

  • Thanks for the kits, guys! Just cycled through them quickly, and first impression is that they sound great. Looking forward to working them into some new tracks.

  • When I click on the Here's the Link Pic on the Soundtestroom site, all I get is a blown up pic of the drum kits. No open in or connection to my dropbox app? What am I missing?

    Thanks

  • Hi High. The picture isn't the link. The words are the link.

  • Lovely kits! Thanks Pants of Death! All installed.

Anyone know how to create kits? And do they retain things like individual hit effect settings etc?

  • Any chance these Patterning kits still exist on someone's Dropbox or something?

  • I'd be interested too

  • There are shed loads of PoD kits in the cloud kits ?

  • Interested also

  • Hello Necro thread. Aren’t these all in the Patterning Cloud Kits?

  • @gusgranite

Aha, they are! I just needed a prompt to help find them, and it's 'pantsofdeath'. Thanks
If you search for that in the cloud kits section you'll see them all.
    Some lovely sounds here, btw.
