I bought the Irig pro duo. First thing the battery life is about ten minutes on brand new Duracells when running a studio condenser mic. I purchased the powerbridge as it says it charges all Irig products. Well it doesn't charge the Irig duo which is the only purpose I bought it in the first place. If I didn't live on Kauai I'd take it back immediately. Without a charger the Irig is useless unless you have stock in Duracell or energizer. You're going to need a lot of batteries. It does have a charge port but the powerbridge doesn't fit in anywhere. I tried the din from bridge to Irig then lighting to iPad. Not happening. No information out there on how what or where to purchase a charger that actually works. Totally bummed on this product, manual and information on ikmultimedia site. Wouldn't buy again. Thumbs down!
Lol. Never mind. I'm a donkey. Hee haw. It works just had to jimmy the connections. My bad
Actually, I take that back the powerbridge does not work with Irig pro duo. Got tit to light up but it won't power the mic. The first post is accurate.
@narayan thanks for the info. I'm gonna avoid the iRig like the plague. Been thinking about the Roland interface that's been recommended.
Since the Apogee products became available for the iPad besides the Jam line, thus making possible using their state-of-the-art AD/DA and preamps, I simply cannot settle for anything less. But it's good to see IK Multimedia stepping up their game anyway.
All the best!
@narayan, I have the iRig Pro, and the battery lasts forever for me. I think I've put one in in the couple of years I've had it. Now, I'm not using it every day, but it was enough for a few days worth of a few songs. I have an Audio Technica AT2020 condenser - maybe it doesn't draw as much power?
