I stumbled upon this today and couldn't put my iPad down until I've watched the lot of it. It touches on many points that are being discussed on this forum such as creativity, tech, live performance, feelings etc. so I thought I'd share it with you even though some of you, more advanced intenauts would have already seen it. She opened the Ableton Loop conference with a performance with King Britt, I had never heard of her before but it was amazing.
I have to say that I'm not a huge fan of what she does musically but it sure is musically advanced, and God, doesn't she have a great voice. Not shabby at MCing either. I also love the overall sound quality, very warm.
Finding that place where it all works. I think that's why I'm struggling to get back to recording anything, as the place it works for me is the moment of playing something and hearing what another person adds to it. The jamming in the garage concept, but using any tech that fits right, not just lead, bass, drums, vocals.
Thanks for sharing... I've seen some of her previous stuff but that was a whole Meta Process vid that was most definitely inspirational... The enthusiasm and comfort of having your setup produce the sounds in your head in such a fun way is very cool to see...
The Music Just Comes Right Through Me...
the thing I really like about her performances is that she's a great example of if it sounds good then it sounds good, doesn't matter really what she's doing she just sounds good so the tech is just her companion rather than something she depends on to sound good.
Wow! Talented lady with a wonderful voice and a rack full of gear! Why can't X factor have real talent like this on show!
