iOS 9: Clipping -> audio loss and a variety of other issues
Hi all, (and esp. @Sebastian)
I was playing with a couple of AB chains the other day. Z3TA+ (and more recently, post update, SpringSound) -> ApeDelay -> Fiddlicator -> Crystalline -> ApeFilter on iOS 9 (Mini 2). I also tried the same chain on iOS 7.1.2 on another Mini 2.
On iOS 9 I note a number of issues that do not occur on iOS 7.1.2 (still using an older AB version there, but everything on iOS 9 is up-to-date).
1.) I am getting Busy on apps still periodically
2.) I am getting total audio loss periodically (pretty quickly) esp. if the audio levels clip
3.) I am getting error message popups at the bottom of the screen saying that "such-and-such an app has reported an error condition)
4.) I am getting Port unavailable messages
Restarting all apps resets the audio. Rebooting the iPad doesn't help - situation re-occurs.
None of these issues (beyond the occasional Busy message, which goes away) happens on 7.1.2 - esp. not the audio clipping causing complete audio loss.
Any thoughts? I have been looking to try and work with iOS 9 - but it seems not to be ready for prime time yet still. :-/
BTW: I've seen this with other combinations of apps - so - hard for me to identify one particular app that's causing the issue.

It took a bit but I was able to get AudioBus, Genome, iProphet, MitoSynth, and Module to all play together last night. Originally had iM1 in lieu of Module but could not keep it stable. Assume it was a resource issue on the Air 1.
@MusicInclusive: It would be cool if you could contact me about this via our Support/Zendesk thing and come up with a simple workflow/preset that involves as few apps as possible and which makes it simple to reproduce these issues.
Key to fixing bugs is to be able to reproduce them in setups that have as few moving parts as possible. Otherwise we can only guess.
Sure @Sebastian - I'll most certainly do that too. :-)
Just wondered if I was experiencing something unique or whether others had hit the same issue.
Always good to get that kind of confirmation - in case I'm "doing it wrong" ;-)
I also occasionally have problems with apps becoming unresponsive in Audiobus and the various combinations of App A wanting to open Audiobus and Audiobus wanting to open App A gets a little annoying at times especially when it results in App A going to sleep. I have certainly experienced more crashes with apps in Audiobus since updating to iOS 9.x on my iPad Air 2. Difficult to give concrete examples though as I usually just focus on getting things working again so I can work rather than trying to recreate the problem. So this is really more an observation than anything else.
It is very true that clipping sound exist on ios 9.1 with ipad Air 2 I have!
I have no idea what has occured when some music apps turned opened at the begining? I have Air 1, which is good, got no promblem with ios 9.1.
