why can't I stop that message every time I start the app? Is this a submit, or be annoyed into deleting the app and waste the money you paid for it, sort of thing?

  • I read that it will be fixed in the next update.

  • yay! Thankyou!

  • Just cancel it when it pops up. Been waiting for this to be fixed since release.

  • They need to check whether you're not too far away from the border.

    Was hoping to see this, not disappointed.

    Wow! Since release? I cancel it, but it gets tedious to have to do it every single time I open the app.

    Anyway, I just had a look and the app has only seen one update in 3 years. I'm going to go out on a limb here and say, this issue isn't getting fixed.

    Shame. Might have to leave a review.

    No sorry, my mistake - it was updated in March (when I bought it) which I thought was the release date as it was a major upgrade which added Audiobus and attracted a lot more users. Still taking a lot of time to fix what should be a minor bug though.

    On the plus side it's an excellent app - personally I wouldn't let it put anyone off buying it, annoying but you just have to click cancel when it pops up.

  • I've always wondered why ANY audio production app would ask for this info? Did it just come in an SDK package, it tricks the iDevice into doing something, or is it just for the devs to see their demographics?

    @monzo.

    Thanks for the clarification. BTW, I'm not really going to leave a review.

    The reasons for the minimal updates to Borderlands Granular are well-documented. Judging an app based on that, and a simple pop-up box (which the developer has stated will be fixed) seems petty. It's a tremendous app.

    It would be petty, but I'm not actually judging the app. The developer, on the other hand; well I can think of no good reason to leave a FIX outstanding for going on 8 months. But, not my app; not my business. Caveat Emptor.

  • I had removed it from my iPad the first time this happened instantly and then researched it was already a well know problem so I didn't need to report it to the dev. Forgot why I'd removed It a fews day back and reinstalled it, started it up and, its gone again. I don't like being annoyed by apps I'm supposed to be using for fun. As a professional dev for most of my life I won't print what I think about a dev that leaves stuff like this around. Leaves me with little confidence in the rest of the app.

    I originally thought it was some kind of spyware when it first asked for GPS access, just annoying as hell. SMH
