Everyone's got toast. Personally I find FLUX delicious (and I don't know what the hell I'm doing with the sequencer
...
It's Sea Monkeys, man.
Just got it and had 10 minutes to play around but it's exactly what I want for effects... I found that most of the presets are too much but if you turn off 2 or 3 and mess around with the pads it's very usable for making "musical" stuff... Lemme figure out some chains and get it going with FieldScaper and I'll post something soon... Wish I could edit like the real version but I'm sure I'll find something awesome very soon...
:):)
Thanks @Cassetteur - A nice tip might be to play with the global wet/dry mix too, as we intentionally made the presets to be quite heavy on the effects. I often play at 50-60% wet which gives you a nice blend of the original tone and the FLUX:FX.

Yeah I forgot to mention the mix, I was keeping it around 50-65... Just running a simple 4 on the floor Tweaky Beats loop through the presets is an easy way to figure out what's what... I need to plug my controller in so I can mess with the pad and have buttons that toggle the pad x/y and bypass on and off, it's cool to set one effect on the pad and then toggle off the x/y on and off for different effects then turn some back on and get cray... The manual is very helpful and kinda funny... Thanks for making such an out there "FX" app... It's almost like all the Holderness apps in one, with a pad...
Hi@Noiise.
Forgive the dumbness of this q but u can't find the list of presets in the iPad version. Little help?
Cheers! In the future we are looking to add in all the full editing capabilities to the 'play' app but it was a bit of an interface mess so we put it off for now and made it a nice price instead.
Actually we dont have that list anywhere yet - let me see if i can dig it up. In the meantime, be aware that we have shared the full set of 47 banks [6 in each bank] of performance presets from the iPhone version, and you can load these into the iPad version too!
Just for the sake of having them listed, here are the 'FLUX:FX play' preset banks [6 performance presets per bank]:
Honestly, the fact that it didn't go universal was a huge turn-off. To suggest that it wasn't possible is, frankly, hard to believe.
In any case, I've found Turnado to be much more appealing, sonically... As well as less of a processor hog.
Thanks Noiise. How do I load them? Do I need to buy the iPhone version?
Thanks.
No, you dont need to buy the iphone version just for the presets. You can directly download the performance presets from here: http://bit.ly/FLUXFXpresets
and then drop them into the ipad FLUX:FX via itunes file transfer.
Hope this helps - let me know if you need more info!
Looking forward to this!
Superb ! Can't wait to get'em. Excellent customer service: you've just earned a guaranteed customer for your next app...
thanks @Vorgon
At a bar playing just a 4/4 bass kick on Tweaky and messing with the presets and the x/y toggles... Shit is amazing...
Video or it didn't happen
If you didnt get it before, get it now - supersuperniceprice....

Got it. For that price it's unbeatable! Since it's a player it is not very flexible , but the amount of presets is huge. I have to spend much (fun) time browsing the effects. What I didn't like was the tape echo fx. A bit disappointed I must admit. Waiting to hear endless feedback and the pitching effect when tweaking time...unless someone recommends me a preset.
Also an "add to favorite" option would be more than welcomed.
I had this problem too, for some odd reason the play version didn't show up in iTunes. I got around this by emailing
a preset to myself and opening it up on the phone. Worked fine.
Thanks @Igneous1, you gave me the idea to save and open from Dropbox! Works fine also.
Bought the phone version. LOVE it! Highly recommended, especially the presets!
Hi guys - yes, Dropbox is the best way to open your saved presets into FLUXFXplay - just open them from Dropbox iPhone and they should directly install into the app.
Is there any reason why it's not showing up in iTunes ?
The chorus is still problematic (as I pointed out to Noiise in February)
About itunes, do you mean with regards to the file-sharing? We have been told that apple is changing the way they review and handle this, so we were advised to look at other options, hence the dropbox solution. We still need to clean this up a bit so maybe there will be itunes sharing in the future once we get more info there.
Regarding the chorus, we havent played with this since the initial setup that you commented on. It is on the list, but for now it is useful for some subtle widening and modulation. For more complex or detailed modulation, the PHASE function can actually create chorus-like effects and has a few more parameters. In combination you can get extremely complex or subtle mods happening.
Yes, the phase function is extremely good, methinks.
Picked this up a couple of weeks ago, pretty cool! But I can't seem to get the wet/dry control working... I seem to have the dry signal in there all the time... Any help?
