No Way to erase songs or playlist from iTunes on the iPad is there?
something you have to do from the desktop I presume

tap and hold (a song) and move to the left. the delete button appears. the same with playlists.
You can go into the ios storage settings and delete by artist, album, song, etc., or at least u could before iOS 9, haven't had to do it yet since updating.
