Now I'm scared about iOS 9 and Poseidon

Comments

  • I am running iOS 9.1 on an iPad Air2 and having no problems except for using external MIDI keyboards; which some worked with MIDIFlow. I have run through all the presets with no problems.

Same here except Air1 and no MIDIFlow. Very interesting, but even with these broken fingers I would like access to my keyboard...

  • That was me Tim was quoting @johnfromberkley . I did address this in the other thread. Virsyn can't replicate the problem at the moment. :-/ May be more iOS9 related if others have had similar issues. Not sure.

Sounds like a definite 9 problem given it does not happen with a single app. Very glad VirSyn came by to address the midi problems and let us know how things were going and hopefully Apple gets the bug figured out soon with 9. Given the failure to show Poseiden as the trouble and given that other apps running nine also share the behavior The Poseiden boogeyman should not be all that scary.(Booooo!)

Sounds scary for an iOS noob like me....
Knock on wood, don't have this problem and no problem with midi.
I can play notes and assign midi on PCR 300.
    Air1 latest iOS

  • When thoughts turned to iOS 9, it was widely speculated it would bring stability to iOS, that iOS 8 hadn't, this from what I hear this is yet to happen, in fact it doesn't seem to be part of Apples philosophy.

  • I experienced a lot of issues with midi and running the app in the background which the update has fixed so it's now a pleasure to play.

  • Hopefully iOS 10 is less problematic, but given Apples track record I will not hold my breath. I am very glad they allowed a fix so quickly however.

  • The update seems to have fixed the problem I saw that was very scary :-) I've let Virsyn support know.

  • And I had to use Midiflow Poseidon

Microkey working fine for me now :)

Love this app, though sample import would give it real 'legs'
