(Solved...) Soundcloud. I can't get my tracks to play.

*** Thread EDITED ***

Can't play any of my tracks. Yet I can play tracks by others.

Has anybody else had this happen to them this week? Or before? Did you find out a solution?

Thanks for those who tested for me.

  • Its working cool track

  • Works for me @SpookyZoo. Never experienced what you're describing.

  • Link is working

  • @SpookyZoo yep, all working here. Nice track. SOTMC entry?

  • Thank you for checking guys. It's so strange and just a little annoying. :/

I should mention too that this is happening on both ipad and macbook. Nothing in my account details to say there's a block. Haven't had a paid a/c since 2014 so not like a bounced payment or anything.

Thought it might have been just this track as the image is quite large file size, but it effects all tracks equally.

    Just bizarre. :(

Thanks again for checking. The compliments too. Cheers.

  • Have you tried it on different devices? You might need to flush your browser's cache.

  • @funjunkie27 Thanks. Yeah I've tried the ipad, iPhone, macbook. Cleared cache and history on all.

I press the orange play button and the "buffering dots" just keep on dancing. And the play head at the bottom of screen shows the pause button as if play has started but never gets off 0:00.

I can play other peoples tracks but not mine. It's just too weird. Not that I want to play my own tracks a lot, but since I noticed this 6 days ago it's kinda starting to bug me now! :/

  • That is odd. I can't offer much else though....maybe try logging out then back in...if you haven't done that already.

  • @SpookyZoo very high-level game play there. Nicely done. Brilliant method of boosting listens and likes. You always were a sly cove....Actually, I have no idea what that is.

And it is a nice tune :)

@JohnnyGoodyear Ha, I thought somebody might call me out. I also honestly figured it would probably be yourself and that you'd do so in a pleasant and literary manner. Nice game play sir.

Thanks for the listen stat btw. ;)

I nearly called this yesterday, but restrained myself, being relatively new here, and giving you the benefit of the doubt. How could I be so wrong and so right at the same time!
    No more you fiend :)

  • It deserves a play just due to the cleverness of the ruse! ;-)

    This is a genuine scenario, not a leg-pull. Honest Guv'nor! :)

My tweet without soundcloud link 3 days prior to this post.

Aaaggghhh! SOUNDCLOUD has not let me play any of my own tracks via iPad for over a >week now. Anybody else having same issue?

  • I've seen a similar problem on KVR can't remember the post of hand, but a software developer had put up a soundcloud link with demos for the software, only problem was he was getting no soundcloud tracks and he made mention of this in the post, I was able to see these tracks though, unfortunately he didn't have a solution, only stating that soundcloud was complete mess, or words worse. So I can only confirm, I have seen what appears to be be the same problem you are having.

  • Thanks @knewspeak

Just in case anyone else has this happen or gets this thread on a 'Soundcloud problem' google search.

It seems I fixed this by uploading a new track. Can't say 100% for sure that this was the action that did the trick as I hadn't tried the last week. Worth a go if you have something similar happen though.
