IOS8 & AUDIOBUS / CUBASIS USER ISSUES................

I don't know what is up lately. I just seem to be having issues with performance of my IPad Air with IOS8. In particular, things not opening, things not connecting, and a general sense that something isn't 100%.

I am not able to determine if this is an issue related to IOS, AUDIOBUS, or maybe even Cubasis. All which are common denominators in my workflow.

For instance, when Cubasis is in the output slot, lately app icons no longer show up in Cubasis track slots after they have been opened in the input slot of Audiobus. Sometimes the words are there stating ISem or what ever the case. But there is no icon for quick switching or just to quickly reference the track I need to adjust.

Also, another example. I open Animoog in the input spot and go play it. No sound. Then I look in Cubasis and it never recognized it.

There are also instances of effect apps just not opening or disconnecting existing Audiobus connections.

These sort of things just seem more common lately. There is just a sense of things not working the way they should. It is reminiscent of the early days of IOS8.

SInce I am not using IOS 9 I am I wondering if any else has seen an uptick in general issues or dysfunction lately? Since my IOS didn't change or my IPad I am wondering what is up.

More so, I am trying to pinpoint what is going on. I have noticed a lot of Cubasis issues so I am wondering if people with Cubasis are having issues. Or is it an Audiobus thing? Or is it individual apps that I just happen to be using?

All I know, one too many glitches or issues for my liking and want to figure this out. If you are having the same issues I would love to hear about it.

Thanks

  • I am on eight with no issues in Audiobus or Cubasis that stand out. I should also point out I have been way to busy to record much lately. No issues to report here though for now.

  • I got that too. For example, when I was on iOS 7, Apple released iOS 8. About a 2weeks to a month later those problems happened. Now, while I was running iOS 8.4, everything was great. Apple now released iOS 9. Guess what, it's happening all over again. So, now I have updated to iOS 9.2, & things are ok. What I couldn't understand is tho the apps updated for iOS 9, & I was still on iOS 8.4, all apps ran smoothly. In fact, when they were updated for iOS 9, they seemed to run more smoother than before. I'm going to do a bit of paranoid thinking. When Apple release a new iOS format, is there a internal clock, so you if do not update, then your iPad starts to play up. Similar to a Trojan Virus(but not destroying your data)? A Trojan Virus wait to a certain time to activate, then slowly causes problems. It the same for Windows 7. I've reinstalled back to Windiws 7, as I didn't like Windows 10. Now, I'm having similar problems after a fresh install. Before Windows 10 came out, there was no problems. Now it's out, I've got headaches............ Never trust things which come Free!....... Like a bloody Trojan Horse. Lol......

  • Bet if you upgrade to ios 9.2, you won't have any more problems? But if you do, there's no turning back. Unfortunately, Apple has got all our Bollocks in there hands, & when they squeeze, there's nothing we can do.

  • By the way. Since I have updated to iOS 9.2, Cubasis is running better than before. Got 28 tracks going, & the CPU is just over 1/4. On an iPad Air 128gb.

    You say Trojan horse.

I say fucked with no kiss or Trojan.

And Windows 10 is HORRIBLE for me. Especially default music stuff and mandatory "apps"............

Why can't they just leave us alone....... LOL

  • I'm on 8.3, with most apps updated to latest versions, and find my iPad is running better than it was a few months back. Only issues I have, apart from the occasional Audiobus/app glitch, are with Auria. Apart from that it's almost lovely.

  • It's game of control I think? Many, many years ago, Apple slated Bill Gates & Microsoft, because, basically they controlled all software. Throttling the Dev companies(Internet Explorer for example). The EU(I think?) took Microsoft to court, & Microsoft lost(millions of dollars). So software companies now had more freedom. But......... Apple themselves are now doing it to a degree, in fact thinking about it. Apple seems to be worse now at the control freaking.

  • You can't wipe your ass, without Apple say so. Windows was more liberal. Until Windows 10. Look at what they have done to AudioShare Dev for example.

  • Sorry that I'm sounding off in a mode of "Alf Garnet". But these things do fire me up sometimes........ Now then, let's makes some music....... :-)

  • Yes your right. Windows 10 is horrible.
