Two Poisodon Questions

Love this synth - a tinkerer's dream!

1 - is there an 'init' preset that puts all controls at 'zero' so I can learn what each one does by changing it alone?

2 - I'm working with the Air Organ (hg) preset and would like to make a key sustain a fair amount after I release it. Have been trying the EG1 envelope settings but can't seem to get any changes to make an effect: The sound always stops sharply on release. I suspect I don't quite 'get' the controls yet - even tho the HELP is pretty good.

Comments

  • Opps - red face - that is "POSEIDON" :-(

  • You killed me with that one arrrrrrgh.

  • I think I read EG2 is always mapped as the volume envelope, maybe try EG2...

Lol, first things first, you can change/correct your title (if you wish too). :)

  • Errrr.... I DID want to fix the title but didn't see any edit button/option.

For future (or current) reference, if you look at the top right of your initial post page you should see:

Click on the gear thingie and it will allow you to edit etc.

To increase the volume sustain open the far right tab ( I think it is "volume" - don't have it with me now) and the envelope pops up at the bottom on the left.

Edit: I hope I'm not insulting by adding that you need to increase the "release" setting, not the "sustain", to have the sound continue after letting the key go.

Go to Synth -> Init sound.

This is an excellent plan for your partner as well, but their init preset button can also be hard to locate....

    Enit..

    :-)

  • Until Virsyn update the bank list, once you've found the Init preset, save it to the empty user bank (no title) in the category list between Other and Favourites. Easier to find then.......

  • Anyone how to figure out how to make a patch monophonic/polyphonic?

There are some monophonic leads I'd like to hear in poly.
