How can I share the files between my SessionBand apps?

Could you pls help me?

I bought some SessionBand apps. After creating a song in one app, I want to copy and paste that chord progression into another SessionBand app. This way, I won't have to type the chord progression again in another app.

I downloaded the AudioCopy. But somehow I cannot paste anything into the SessionBand app.

Pls advise.

My sincere thanks,

  • I don't use AudioCopy, but I believe it only copies audio, not other kinds of data. I have four of the SB apps, and they all have different chord types and other features. Even the two Acoustic Guitar versions don't share all the same chord types.

You might want to stop reading here. :) Feeling insane (and curious) I tried to see what could be done. The SB apps appear to save a .sba file with all the information for the track, including KeyVariation, BlockType, BeatCount, Key, and all the mixer settings. From the Share/Export screen I emailed a simple SB file (.sba) from Acoustic Guitar 1 to myself, opened it on my computer and saved the file to DropBox. In AudioShare on the iPad, I imported from DropBox. AudioShare allowed me to "Open In" in either Acoustic Guitar Version 1 or 2. In Version 2 it was in the wrong key, but I could change that easily on the Edit screen. I then tried saving and exporting from Acoustic Guitar 2. It saved a ".sba2" file that AudioShare couldn't open in anything unless I changed the file extension to ".sba". It then could be opened in Version 1, but the chord types it didn't have came in as Root[Null] and some other chords were wrong.

This process could possibly be sped up through iTunes file sharing (haven't tried it), and you could alter the .sba files in a text editor to possibly work better between apps.

I think you might prefer to just re-enter the chords in each SB app. :)

  • Thank you so much.

Perhaps re-entering the chords in each app may be a bit quicker.
