Which desktop mac
Been using PC now for quite some years and wanted to take another look at using the mac again as an alternative chioce. Last desktop mac i owned was a 'quadra' way back in the nineties
Anyone have a recommendation for what mac would best suit musicians needs thats around the 700-1000 price range?
Suppose i would need to look at second hand options?
Thanks in advance.

What currency @dblonde ?
The iMacs are good value.
The Mac Mini is an excellent deal. They start at $499. I have a 2011 model that works very well. You can take a base model or modify one on the Apple Store.
If you already have a monitor, keyboard, and mouse I'd go with a MacMini
+1 for MacMini
New Mac minis are thunderbolt and hdmi for video so you might need an adapter
This wouldn't be bad:

Depends on what kind of software you're planning to run.
Simple.... the fastest thing you can get for the money you want to spread. Of course it depends on what you want to do. My i7 quadcore (2.0ghz haswell) is way to slow and 8GB ram are also not enough
Thanks all. Euro's is what i have.
I shall go and try some out somewhere. I have a monitor etc so just the base machine is what i need.
