Ableton released 9.5 Beta 2 - includes Link
So if one of you devs are testing their Link SDK, you can count me in as a beta tester
I can hardly wait to test Link with Live and the new Push sampling features.
PM for my email address.
Thanks.

did you know if Live8 User will get LINK too?
I don't know. I'm not an internal tester. I've created an account on ableton.centercode.com
@obiwahn,yeah I'm using Live 8.4.2 . It does what I need . I hope an update for Live 8 is released including Link.
me too, dont need the update to 9.x
can wait for the next major update,
hope they integrate a Movie Channel, with edit options > VJ
but first LINK RocknRoll!!!
and what ios apps do we have now?
Soon, quite a few.
Will link work with the lite version of live that you can get a code for from gadget?
Now there is link and AudioUnit extensions on iOS. Good times for everybody. Looks like we are going somewhere with a big screen and a kick ass a chip
It's just me and you Mr Tim Cook.
Does link only sync or does it send other midi data between apps as well?
Still haven't heard whether Link will support the syncing of apps on a single ios device. Or is it just for syncing software on different devices?
Link is only sending sync data, there's nothing else like midi transmitted. Yes it works for apps on the same device. It currently only works with the beta version of Live 9, which is not a lite version. As far as I know, it will be a Live 9 only feature initially. They might add it to Live 8, but I wouldn't count on it since historically they haven't added new features to versions that are almost 3 years old.
Do you know if wifi is required for apps on the same device? Trying to wrap my head around how this would work!
That I don't about, sorry. I would guess that yes, it needs wifi.
have you tried link (wifi) together with interdevice audio (audio over lightning/usb to mac)?
does that work?
No I haven't tried that. Lately most of my testing has been focused on Push 2 and not Link, I'm waiting until apps come out that support it before I dive in too much.
I am a bit confused about the "Link" function. Since it's going to be available for all apps I don't think they would restrict it to Live 9 full version. It doesn't make sense .
Im sure it will be in the lite version eventually too, but the beta versions are never lite, always full.
