@lala that was an Internet solid right there. Where's the +1 button?
I thought you were trolling.
Ha! Nope, not at all.
Yes. Plus One. Rusty, where are your difficulties with Loopy and the controller?
If you do, would you mind giving it a try with Voiceover please?
This whole IOS music making thing is so involved!
@RustyPerez
I don't own midi bridge. I use lemur and midibus to send midi around, I just tried those, they don't work with voice over.
I don't send to much midi around from app to app on iOS, its not a very pleasant experience, nothing remembers nothing so you have to set it up each time ...
What do you want to do with the midi?
play an app with a midi keyboard?
or send midi from one app to another or to you mac or somewhere?
At this point my main reason for using something like MidiBridge or Lemur would be to receive midi messages from a foot pedal and translate or filter them and send them on to another app. For example, receive midi notes from a foot pedal, and translate in to the CC messages that Drumjam requires.
@RustyPerez, Midiflow app has voice over. It can get pretty complex, just email the dev. on specifics.
Anything worthy that isn't made for the iPhone!
The SoftStep requires the use of the config software to really take advantage of what makes it awesom, and that software doesn't play nicely with speech software. So, no biggy. The Looptimus will send out midi notes which I can then either use with midilearn features in software, or I'll use something like MidiFlow to send the messages the right way.
The Looptimus has traditional style metal pushbuttons, but they aren't the loud clicky kind. I don't have trouble with those kinds of buttons.
@lala, I didn't realize that my thank you message didn't get tagged with your name.
That was definitely an internet solid.
I have learned that MidiFlow plays nicely with Voiceover and so I'll definitely work with that. Also, @rad3d let me know that Lemur config files can be edited with a text editor, so that might be an option as well, even though Lemur itself isn't very accessible.
@RustyPerez
Don't worry, I saw that coming. Thanks for the flowers.
Have fun with the music.
And keep in mind that my Lemur comment about editing the text file would only be useful with the template I had discussed with you - which can do it's work in a live situation without interfacing with the screen. Any other Lemur templates wouldn't be of too much use because of the lack of accessibility options.
it's not so easy wrapping your head around this, If you can see and you know what is going on and take everything for granted ...
