Diode 108 on iPad Pro - midi sync still not working?
Does anyone know what the story is with the MIDI sync with Diode 108 and Cubasis on the iPad Pro?
I had it working sweet on my Air - and didn't update when I saw a problem reported - but now I have the Pro I had no option but to have the latest update...
...and it doesn't seem to be working. Hmmmm
Any ideas? The MIDI sync controls are different in this version of Diode

So I tried the DM1 drum machine instead, loaded it up as an IAA instrument and it's in sync straight away...
...which is something I haven't seen in a long time!!!
Yes, it's pretty sad, it was one of my favorite apps for sequencing with external sequencer, where I put notes into BSP (Beat Step Pro) and used DIODE as a sampler.
Than that cursed update came and broke midi completely. Can't midi learn notes, can't be triggered externally.
Diode people promised to look into it but seems they have forgotten.
Yeah, I really liked it too, I hope they fix it soon. I still have the earlier version on my Air, which is something I suppose... (Wonders if there's a way to get the earlier version from the backup of my Air that I have on my PC, and somehow get it on this Pro....hmmmm)
DM1 used to be my favourite drum machine until all its MIDI problems - so I guess it's back to that for now if it's syncing again (crosses fingers)
Time to learn Elastic Drums too now, especially as it's listed as working with Ableton Link...
I prefer iElectribe, (if you have it), but only 8 synths. It works perfectly. Anything can be done externally.

Problem with many drum machines was that they would not play multiple notes at the same time. ED included.
Only last "layer", unless you record notes into its sequencer
I have this midi sync problem with Patterning on my Air 1. Worked at first & thought great. Now it goes haywire. Even uninstalled it, the reinstall. Same problem.
It doesn't matter if I send or return midi.
If it's on the Pro as well, then it has to be a IOS problem?
Yeah. Where are the diode developers. They were very active until they brought out the last release which everyone knows is broken. In reality they could re-release the previous version if they haven't damaged it etc. but they have gone super silent. This is annoying me emensly as I have both versions on different iPads. I just want it to work. In reality everyone could ask for a refund as it doesn't do what it says on the tin. Perhaps they would come out of the shadows if they suddenly have refunds to swallow. Anyway patterning midi works so great with ableton and midimux that I may just give up on diode. Just my pennies worth

it is both funny and tragic -- it was working all the time, and they were super actively developing and then they did one broken version and were never heard of again.
if they want to stop working on it, fine, but they should simply make the last version available again
