Q: is there a way to set elastic drums to load a preset on startup?

It surprises me that ED will always reset to default on restart. That's super annoying.
Mine always opens with the last used preset
Ok got it, ignore. I didn't realise I had to save the preset before shutting down the app. All good, thanks for the quick response @gsm909
