  • Count me among the converted. As JGY says, other apps could pull off some of this. But the interfaces they put out are dead simple. Had it doing exactly what I wanted in about two minutes. I do like simple.

I got it for my desktop since its only $10 at the moment. very impressive.

That's my plan, oh well, I'm going to be skint before Black Friday.

  • except the beautiful layout and the hand drawn stuff,is there anything soundwise i couldn't achieve with Effectrix as well? That said,Effectrix is probably my favorite IAA effect, maybe i would buy kuvert nonetheless if it's a bit compareable.

This is exactly why I bought it also and why I am optimistic...

  • The klevgrand stuff is great - I bought the first 4 or so that they released, even though I'm not a big AudioBus FX user, and my older device struggles to run some of them. But this one looks particularly useful, especially if it offers a convenient interface for stutters and swells. I'll probably download out of sheer curiosity, if nothing else.

  • Klevgrand is the main reason I'm wanting to upgrade my iPad4.
I will not resist this app when I get home tonight. I shall be assimilated..

  • Think I'm going to buy this as much to support this dev as anything else but from the video, it looks like almost all of this is possible in Turndado (but with a much much more sensible iPad UI). Am I missing something?

  • Besides the features etc,how is the SOUND of it?Effectrix for example has a shitload of FX to mangle the audio but you wouldn't want to use ONE of it alone in a classic way. They are just not THAT good.

  • I just love it when one app makes you dig up an old one you've been neglecting for ages. I'll probably get this at some point in the future, in the meantime: hello effectrix!

No. But, while we're always muttering about the software, sometimes what we're muttering about is the UI...

  • did somebody say it was hard on the resources, which iPads are taking a hit and which iPads are living to take a hit another day?

  • Bought it for both iPad + Mac and just gave it a flex on the latter: Love at First Rinse.

Envelope modulation via volume alone is something I've toyed with a ton so to have this level of control, filters, resonance and that Glitch dial combined is many a chair-dance session waiting to happen.

PS- drawing these envelopes with a mouse is fine but this is where Klevgrand's UI union with an iPad touchscreen shines bright as the damn sun.

  • Goddit!! Luvitt
Who wouldn't want a software zvex seek wah seek trem (plus) for 4 quid?

Well, when you put it like that...

Generally feel the same about Turnado. Fun en masse but alone as singular effects... not so much.

  • It's quite niche, it does stuff I can't get flux fx to do as powerful as it is, and it's a bit like turnado, effectrix, and egotists effects, but again more usable for me personally

  • has the dev said anything about putting in a limiter?

    Really that bad/dangerous/unpleasant?

That's because they use the same engine i would assume ;)

In my case it's Live FX that i start to rediscover :)

yeah it's best to be careful with these kind of apps

I was thinking the same thing - much as I love multi-effect apps such as Turnado they seem to work best as complete manglers, with everything turned up to ten. I've tried using it more subtly, or with just one or two effects but the results never sound quite as good as a single dedicated app, such as Crystalline.

I need to see/hear more demos with this one but it looks a lot more straightforward and controllable, and I'm guessing the sound quality could be better than attempting the same thing in Turnado ( though I still love that app).

    More demos needed.

I suspect I must have the reverse problem with Crystalline. So many folks here site it as a constant-use, but for me it's too tinkly too quickly. Maybe I'm pouring it on too thick...or just using it with the wrong sound set. Any thoughts on what it works best on/with?

That was a bad example really, I should have said AUFX:Dub or Space. Just an example of a single effect app, rather than a bin bag full of things.

I think I'm the same as you, I don't actually use that one much (even though I like it) as it's too recognisable.

They are five different kind of sounds. I mean they are not serial connected! They are parallels, then to the mix! If you can realize these, you are ready to go deeper. Use Lorentz to play and try it.

I will have a fiddle Captain. Thanks for the thought.

    @JohnnyGoodYear,

See what I draw in the graph and on the knobs and on delay filters for detail to mimic that!

    Use Lorentz - Bass -04

On and off Kuvert, you will find how spicy it is.

Note: If you full red volume, shortening the delay, if little red LFO volume, your turn more delay and delay filter. Otherwise, they hindering each other. Remember, they are 5 separate thingies.

I'd say AU for all Klsevgrand, AUFX, Holderness Media and Tomothy's Flora stuff :)

+1 for AU , can't see why developers would release a new app thats does not have AU

  • For the fence sitters there are desktop demos on the website.

  • Here's a brief demo of Kluvert shaping the sound of a couple of oscillators and some noise.
