As I've mentioned before, I've purchased a good number of iPads from Cowboom 2nd-hand and never been disappointed. Always exceed my expectations. Not one has appeared to be anything but "new" - i.e. no scratches etc.
The key is to get Satisfactory or above. Avoid Fair - because they often have scratches mentioned in the description. However, I recently accidentally purchased a Fair condition 16GB mini 1 for my artist son at $109 when they were doing a crazy sale some weeks back and it was just as good as any other I have bought from them. But, go for Satisfactory to be sure. I have had no problems with battery life either. All good. One thing to check is whether you get a power adapter or not. Some ship with - some without. Will be on a per-item basis.
