iMini and Audiobus - Loud buzzing noise!!

I've noticed when using iMini in audiobus, that if I start switching back and forth between the main screens of other connected apps, such as AudioShare, or the main screen of something in the effects slot, all of a sudden I start getting this huge loud buzz noise that just takes over everything. it will start off working fine, and then while working on something suddenly happen. I havent quite figured out what triggers this, but it seems to be when moving between screens. I have to close iMini to get it to stop.

Anyone have this problem, or a solution? :/
Thanks! :)

  • Long known issue with many apps. This happens to me almost every time I try to add a Klevgrand app into the effect slot of any existing AB chain. It's very annoying and I hope that some day there will be a fix as this is the single biggest reason I'd never try using an iPad in a live show.

  • When this happens, I eject an input app from the Audiobus chain and then reload it. I suspect this is an IAA based issue where it loses the connection between the apps.

  • Yeah, I usually sigh, close out of everything and do a hard reboot. It seems to be with certain apps - unfortunately as @CalCutta mentioned, Klevgrand is one. It's a lot harder for me to make my audio sausage these days ...

Most apps behave, but those few that don't ... sometimes it takes 2 or 3 reboots :/

    or

If I am using Cubasis and MIDI with another app, I change the channels I am using and that helps sometimes.

I have also found that MIDI clock out of Cubasis into other apps causes this or other issues more often. I rarely use the send MIDI clock of Cubasis due to issues I have personally experienced. Just my experience.

But, yes, this is old news as someone else added.

  • I had searched a little on the forum, but must have missed any entries, or just looked for the wrong thing. I haven't been using Audiobus with several apps and multiple lanes for very long.

Thanks for the tips, though! Much appreciated! :)

  • Curious to know what IOS version you are on. Is this only an IOS 9 issue? I haven't been using audiobus much lately, but I don't want to update from IOS 8 if this is a version-specific problem.

It is a specific apps issue for me in IOS8

It is not an Audiobus issue IMO

It is an apps issue and how they communicate along with MIDI interactions as far as I have experienced.
