Excellent update!
$3.99 for the EMS mods IAP. Instabuy. 
It's good but I am getting some glitches and crashes occasionally on 9.1
Edit: no problems when not attached to my interface
It's working good for me so far on iOS 9.2 iPad Air 2. Will need to figure out how to use the new features in the IAP. Great set of presets by @RedSkyLullaby.

I had one crash first time I opened it and installed the red sky presets. I switched the mains off and on and then it crashed. Reopened and seems fine but I'm scared now.

if you are having trouble delete the app and redownload from store
Yes @lala, delete, redownload and restore IAP's
No crashes, I think my latency was set too low @256....and default is 1054...
@512 all is ok...

This is one of the few synths I've never really mastered programming sounds on.
It's a real challenge, my eyes hurt due to the smallish labels though...

check on buffer/latency and samplerate ...

However, I don't know if it is matter of mastering of mattering for me.
I get involved with the app and think "wow, I think I may really dig this" until the inevitable "what the fuck am I doing wasting all this time on this, how many abstract sound effects or wacky noises do I need"?
Does another oscillator actually do much for this? Aren't the essential parameters of the synth already established by the hardware's original engineering and technological limitations? Or is that what the update does by take things to a more modern modulation of the original chassis?
I still love this app for some reason. I feel like a synth patriot by keeping true to the traditions and history. An almost obligation to give this synth the space on my IPad.
Also, is it just me, or are there excessive "backups' of the various preset banks? I know couple of you guys who did the banks are on this thread.

all the modifications are original modifications EMS did for some VCS3 users
this really takes it to the next level
only the sample and hold mod is something EMS didn't do back in the days,
this was added because the original inventor Peter Zinovieff of EMS asked for it

What do you mean as far as take to the next level? I am going to get the IAP update in coming days as I buy all IAP for apps/developers I like whether I need them or not.

@RustiK it opens up the modularity and it opens up the sound spectrum
sync, longer envelopes, different modulation options, inverted modulation, modulate waveforms, faster lfo/3rd osc, joystick glide ...
if you thought this thing couldn't get any crazier be surprised
it also makes some really nice sounds impossible to do before
