Is there an app that records MIDI data AND can export it as a text file?
I have several apps that will ~display~ midi data, but I'd like to be able to export a file and send it.
Currently, I can only take screenshots.
Any ideas?

@johnfromberkely Cubasis, Pro Midi, Genome, and NLog PRO all let you export MIDI files in the .mid standard MIDI file format. You could send the MIDI data from the app where it currently resides and record it into one of these apps and then export the MIDI mid file from the app you recorded with.
Confused. What do you use the screenshots for?
I think you need a hex editor to read the bits. I know these are plentiful on windows, but not sure about iOS or mac.
First you need to filter what midi data youre receiving. What data do you need export? The fact that you have apps that display data is almost irrevelent. The recording of continuous said midi data would exceed the capacity of most iPads within minutes/hours if pushed hard or hours/days when recorded. Most midi data is, altered as required as it is created and recorded
As a text file....
All I need to do is record the note velocity coming out of my keyboard. I think a few of the keys are whack. It is a QuNexus, and KMI said they would assist after I had the data.
Ah. Sunvox perhaps? Or perhaps one of the MIDi monitoring apps will allow you to select, copy and paste the text?
Plenty of free midi monitoring utilities on pc/Mac btw

And for Mac:

Record it into a gadget track (that will record the velocity and you can check visually in gadget that you are correct about the problem). Then save that track out as a midi file from Gadget.
(I take it by text file you mean midi file?)
