Mike warning in AB
Would like to know how to disable the (annoying) mike warning that constantly is popping up using Audiobus. I do not use the mike, it is turned off for a reason... And constantly telling me to turn it on is not helpful.
Comments
Big red face! It isn't AB giving the warning - it is Audioshare. Grumble..,grumble... It still is a PITA.
@seachord a lot of audio apps need to have permission to use the mic for many functions to work even if you won't be using the mic, it's part of iOS.
Every audiobus app asks once. And you have to say yes or that app won't have access to recording any iOS audio. ...and it will keep asking. :-b
With the help of several electronics companies in Stockholm which supplied me with both the means and the know-how, I was able to ascertain the frequencies of the electromagnetic waves which were traveling through my head to these transmitters.
The frequencies entering my head have been analyzed to be between 17 and 24 kHz.
I was really hoping this thread was about a new AB error reporting feature that has @Michael's head appearing in the corner (ala Clippy) warning you about something or other.
And yeah, just say yes. It's not gonna use the mic unless you ask it to but apple has audio services tied into that permission.
I herewith apologise on Apples behalf for all these annoying pop-ups. They're just there to protect users of shitty apps from shitty developers spying on them.
This is why we can't have nice things.
As it turns out, enabling the mike for AudioShare is a Good Thing. Even though one may not be using the mike, activating it allows acces to other features in AS.
nuts and almonds
I turned mic access of everywhere, just like I turn of all warnings if possible.
but that doesn't work for everyone.
Its really annoying, all these questions and warnings blah blah wants to blah blah (rolling eyes)
yes, I know - hello apple, music doesn't work like this (rolling eyes)
if you always get version after version it drives me totally nuts, how many times do I need to tell the dammed things yeah go on (rolling eyes)
I love my privacy but there has to be another way to do this for music making.
So Santa doesn't want me to make music?
this gets really really annoying when you turned the mic off and that turns off the audio engine and then you sit there wondering what went wrong now ...
come on apple, it just works and always ask the user shouldn't have these side fx
it feels like talking to someone with a brain damage and insufficient memory
blah blah wants to blah blah for the 10.000 time, aaaargh
he only wants you to make music if your surroundings have been very naughty ...
is it just me? isn't the post from @Michael the funniest thing ever seen on the whole urfffff?
ha! YES! Saw the thread title again and had a moment of the very same hope again before I realized it was the same old disappointing thread. ONLY IT WASN'T!
Brilliant!
I'm patiently awaiting the release of Gluten-Free Audiobus.
Though I do wonder what Apple's actual app-testing process is as it seems supremely poor.
All I ever see is honest devs having their butts handed to them while the creeps seem to get no oversight.
Ha, now that's a great bumper sticker!
