Animoog 2MIDI sources possible? Fugue + ext. CC?

i tried yesterday to Trigger Animoog with Fugue, wow great, BUT
i cannot activate a second MIDI Device, :-(
external Controller (Quneo, or Nanocontroll2) to control Animoog with CC....
Did someone try to run Animoog with Fugue or other ARP, AND control the CC with other controller?

  • @obiwahnkentobi I was able to play Animoog with Fugue machine and a QuNexus keyboard on an iPad Air 2 running iOS 9.2 by starting Fugue Machine, then Animoog. In Fugue machine I set the MIDI to Animoog virtual in, then in Animoog I set the MIDI to the QuNexus port 1. After that I could play Fugue machine and the QuNexus at the same time.

  • cool have to try that THX

  • If that doesn't work, try MIDIFlow or MIDI Bridge. Set Animoog to listen to MIDI Flow and set both inputs in MIDI Flow (or MB) to the MIDI Flow output.

  • I remember Moog claimed that they were going to default Animoog to Virtual In being on, but I don't think it happened.

@CalCutta if I startup Animoog it lists the MIDI ports as off and Networked Session one if I set the MIDI out to Animmog virtual in Fugue Machine, it plays in Animoog. Setting the MIDI out to Fugue Machine MIDI out in Fugue Machine produces no sound in Animoog unless I choose it in Animoog. My thinking is that Animoog does indeed have Animoog virtual midi turned on. Indeed, Animoog will continue to play MIDI from Fugue Machine set to Animoog virtual MIDI even after I choose another MIDI in setting inside Animoog. There is no listing of Animoog virtual MIDI in the settings inside the Animoog app but it does seem to be working and is turned on. Running iOS 9.2 on an iPad Air 2.

  • thx @Paul this worked, great.

    Yep. I agree, exactly.

You can have Animoog midi in set to off. And yet if you select Animoog for midi within your controller app, Animoog will play.

    This is a good thing.
